Is this true that subvented lease program for Genesis CANNOT be utilized for ex loaner cars?
This is the message from one of VA store sales manager.
Did they adjust RV for ex loaners with the miles?
Rate Finder doesn’t say anything about that.
First time dealing with Genesis for family member.

I was also told last month by manager in TN that loaners cannot be leased at all, called silly, however he would offer me a great deal on purchase. There may be confusion over CPO
Have been told mixed things but in CA at least they’re leasable with subvented rates. You just only get the lease cash and not Conquest/Military rebates like you can on a new car.
I got the same answer here in FL. Trying to hack a GV70 loaner deal and it all fell apart at a two different dealerships.
Not sure if the loaners I found are treated different by the dealer I spoke to but they said all loaners are now used cars and cannot be leased. This is all so confusing but am I gathering that these used car loaners can still be leased using subvention and lease cash but not conquest? Or do I need to find a dealer that treats these loaners as new never titled new cars in order to lease them?

I suspect this is the case. In my searches I’ve seen loaner vehicles that were titled by the dealership. Some dealers use different terms like “retired courtesy vehicles” that were previously titled.
I think any vehicle that was technically “sold” and titled, would not qualify for lease program.

It depends on the dealer and how they title them, but generally current model year loaners can be leased. However, they may not be eligible for incentive lease rates, so it may not be a favorable scenario. It all depends on how the cars are punched, and there is no single rule that applies.
FWIW, I was told the same by a dealer out in Utah when I was in the market back in 2024, they weren’t able to lease loaners.
FWIW we are campaigning hard with corporate and Genesis Finance to come up with subsidized programs for retired service loaners. It’s a huge opportunity the brand is missing right now.
fwiw I leased a loaner aka “retired courtesy vehicle” last September. got any and all applicable incentives. was never an issue
People already reporting signed leases for ex loaners at subsidized lease program. It needs to be clarified and provided one rull by GFS for all dealers IMO.
I contacted the only Genesis dealer here in Oregon and was told the same, “no loaners can be leased and this has always been the rule for Genesis cars”. Their loaners appear on their website under their Used cars section so I suspect the comment above about method of Dealer titling for loaners may be on to something.

Just to get back to this thread, Genesis DOES allow retired courtesy vehicle program (“CVP”) cars to be leased so long as they are current model year vehicles and have less than 7500 miles. They qualify for subvented lease (and finance) rates as well as lease cash. However, consumer rebates do not apply, like competitive, military, etc.
I recently posted a few cars, and most are gone already. I’ll be posting more probably next month.

It “shouldn’t”. These rules are pretty much in stone. Now, whether a dealer chooses to participate at all or let their loaners out of service prior to 7500 miles are probably two deciding factors. We only started deciding to participate this month.
