2026 BMW iX xDrive45 Deal Check — Oregon (97223), Signing July/August

Doesn’t the car have some sort of Parking Assistance that can technically park for you?

I tried that. It’s a hit or miss. Once it worked, another time it did not. In theory, it did the job, but it wasn’t perfect straight which is what I prefer to ensure my neighbors get enough room in their spot. And then I have a narrow single car garage where manual parking is the only choice

Ugh, that’s not great to hear. The salesman was talking up some function that will remember the exact steps used to park the car and will do it in reverse to get out of tough parking situations - could that be useful for your garage?

My car is in transit to me, so I haven’t gotten to fiddle with any of the controls yet

Yes. I am trying to learn that. yet to try. Just setting up my new phone for the Digital Key. It can do remote parking too. I need to experiment with all of that. As a first time BMW owner, there is a big learning curve here.

That remote parking thing barely works, or maybe it’s just me, but it always gives me some kind of error.

First timer, too. I guess I was expecting Tesla-like parking, sigh.

Random question, but does the car auto-lock? On the flip side, is it smart enough to NOT lock when the key is inside of it?

You have only one key fob. So they recommended using phone as key and the keep the fob at home. And as backup, there is a key card that you can keep in your wallet. I don’t know if it auto locks but I was not able to open the trunk when the key was in my backpack inside the trunk. But I could open the door.

Yes, it can auto-lock. You need to configure in the car. In addition to 1 key fob, you get 1 “master” key card, 1 “service” key card. You can configure phone and watch as digital keys.

Interested — what are the specs and what size wheels? Also what are the all-in numbers including shipping to Portland OR and broker fee, 36/12K, $0 down? Tesla conquest credit applies?

There is no conquest credit.

Again do the math but at most at 30 cent a mile that’s max $1350 (4500x.3 = 1450). I’m pretty sure whatever % decrease in RV >>> 30 cent per mile, which is why you see the broker deals posted as 36/7.5 and not 36/10 or 12 etc…

Taking the RV hit makes sense until about 12K miles per year generally.

Well, not really sure where you are going here but it is 4500x0.3x3 or 4350 (assuming 7.5 to 12 every year of lease)…and broker deals are shown at 7.5K because that is lowest payment possible…it is much cheaper to ‘buy’ the miles upfront with the residual than at lease end.

Fml don’t mind me. I just calculate drugs to give to patients for a living. Lol in all seriousness big oversight yes RV hit better

@Grassisgreener would you consider looking at cars on LeaseTrader? There’s a bunch under $1K/month with all the options you want. Maybe you can slip into one of those for 24 months or so when your lease ends? Trying to find a new one off the lot this summer will be difficult.

Yes I have!
