I got an offer from the dealer who I leased my '24 Q4 55 from. Has anyone seen one of these? Is this a standard offer? I looked at their site, and they don’t even have one of these in stock. This is just spam, I know, but it looks like a lot of write-backs here.
My lease ends in October. I live in CT, but the local dealers were unwilling to work the deal, and I wound up taking one home from Paramus, of all places…
I was getting vague mail offers like this from Audi dealers toward the end of my Audi lease, and more recently from GM dealers near the end of our Chevrolet lease.
I treat these like all other dealer/manufacturer offers and ads – I disregard them and work out my own target deals on the cars I want, and then make offers accordingly.
$1750 is a private Audi incentive to you. The rest is standard verbiage. Create a well-researched, aggressive, time-sensitive, actionable offer and present to dealer management. Audi sales haven’t been the best lately.
My guess is the $9500 ‘bonus’ is their discount off MSRP. You can use the calculator to work out the lease payment and compare to other Marketplace offers to see how it stacks up.
Sorry a little off topic. What happened to all the Q4 offers that the brokers would post? It seems all Audi EV deals are shot. Is Audi just not pushing EV’s anymore? Strange because many other manufacturers are coming out with new EVs.
I’ve worked in spreadsheets for a long time. I think the first ones I ever used were made by Lotus[?]. Was when computers were still a new thing lol. I’m glad there’s new info on the LH Calculato. I used it to try and price deals before I got the 2024 Audi I’m about to replace. Thanks.
I’m super-bummed about this. Ironic as I bought myself a new BYD Dolphin in Thailand about six months ago for so little it was obscene (Cash deal: $14K all-in with a year’s insurance, tax, license, fees, etc.). It’s a baby Dolphin, but honestly zips around beautifully and does the job.
Yep, using lease equations for depreciation and rent charges in a spreadsheet and customizing to your needs is the best way but the LH calc is a good tool also…Lotus 123 I believe is what you used!
EV prices have gone up. I hear iX3 has a lot of demand already. Tesla always has demand, but their inventory was discounted 6 months ago, not much available as inventory on their site. IDK, I think there is enough demand. Maybe Audi felt their EV’s were not ready for prime time and are pulling back until they work on them.
I was on the Reddit MacanEV page and it’s just as glitchy as my Q4, so thought I’d stay that that car, but as you’ve noted the market is such I mightbe better off buying my car at lease end and waiting for something to ‘give’.
We wanted to like the Tesla Y, but it seemed cheap TBH. The iPad for everything was a deal-breaker for us, but we also noted the rear view mirror, which looked like it was made in the 1950s for about $.29 cents. Also, the maintenance and repair set-up near Mt. Kisco looked like a mess. They had no loaners. Felt like Elon really burns people, just like eBay. I was one of the first reservations for a first year Model S, but lived on Maui at the time, and they expected me to pay to fly a mechanic there for a holiday to make repairs, which was not happening. Audi at least felt like a real car, with buttons and so on. It’s not as luxe inside as others by a longshot, but it has served us well (the Q4 Plus 55).
