42k to lease a 75k car for 3 years?

Oh, there’s a penalty.

There’s no pull-ahead so the (presumed negative) is going somewhere. You need to separate the deal and assess that.

I’m not following the presentation here. I assume the term on the “breakdown” line isn’t intended and these are 36/39 month payments with either $5000 or $7500 DAS?

Why are we ejecting a year early from the current lease?

Not trying to eject. They sent me the offer to swap. I think the offer is very high.

For sure. That is why I’m asking you all here.

How much is your current car worth and what’s the buyout. Either there is negative going into the next deal or positive the dealer is pocketing

You were marketed-to and you have our permission to ignore that and keep driving your current X3.

If you want out of the current one you have the option transfer it, or compare the payoff to ACV and see how big a hole you need to dig to bury the negative equity.

8 posts re a BMW and Swapalease hasn’t come up yet? Apple Cider Vinegar is not normally the first choice in those situations unless the deal is giving you real heartburn.

OP, thoroughly research potential issues with frozen colors if all else makes sense.

This is not a “swap.” You are trading in your current vehicle to the dealer and any negative equity that is in your current vehicle is being “swapped” into the new lease. That’s the swap.

The 2025 X3 is a shite lease rn. There’s no counter you could realistically make that makes sense for your wallet.

Their offer is hideous, as is the new X3.

As everyone has noted this isn’t a “swap”.

Paying another $5-7k DAS just for the privilege of a $1k lease payment on a new X3 is just nuts.

Walk away, enjoy driving your current M40 for another year, and forget they ever contacted you.
