I feel like I have my numbers right. But have a Sales Mgr that is sticking to almost $100 over my numbers on the monthly payment.
2025 Wrangler Sport S 4-Door
MSRP: $58,160 - Per advertised price
Term/Miles: 36 Months / 10k Miles
SFS Buy Rate: 0.00310 (Standard Tier 1) - Per Buy Rate sheet he shared with me.
Residual: 63% (10k adjustment) - Per buy rate sheet
Selling Price: $47,706 - Per advertised selling price.
Monthly Payment:$455 (including 8.15% tax)
Due at Signing:$0.00 (True Sign & Driveâall fees/1st month rolled in)
The vehicle shows an $11,153.00 discount on their site. $6,250 of which is from manufacturer rebates.
His SRP is the same. But then he has a $4,860 savings on his worksheet. With a selling price of $53,300. Rebate of $8,750, $699 doc fee, and $75.20 Gov. fee. Cap Cost reduction of $7,540.05. With an Adjusted Cap Cost of $47,134.16 and a residual of $37,804. I was trying to tell him that his selling price is over $5k more than what he has advertised on their site ($47,706).
Heâs telling me the best he could do is $550 p/m with $0 down. I am at $455. He adds that he can do $506 with $1,500 down, and $461 with $3,000 down. And even on his site a 36/10k deal with $0 down showed a monthly payment range of $518-$528. I broke down the math for him and he still wouldnât budge. He ends the email with this:
âAnd like we previously discussed the discounts AND rebates total $11,153 off. The $13,610 I showed you was a gift because I understand times are tough for some.â LMAO!!!
I am sure this 2025 model has been sitting for a while. So, either they are blowing their numbers out the park and donât need my sale or heâs not wanting to give in due to some ego. When has a Dealer given more of a discount due to tough times?!?!
If I am wrong I would like to know so I can learn,
Can you post your best attempt at the calculator and dealers worksheet? It would help determine where something could be off.
Also with an equivalent 7.4% interest rate, just make sure thatâs what you want to do. Thatâs a pretty stiff rate to not pay taxes/fees/first month up front to then pay 7.4% on that balance.
Edit: Did you check with @Drew_CentennialLease on what he has available? Heâs a CO based broker that I believe does not charge the lessee a fee.
Dude, itâs a CDJR dealer, itâs been like this since the beginning of time. When you make an aggressive offer many will act like youâre totally crazy.
And CDJR dealers are notorious for including all sorts of crap in their online ads so basing anything off their advertised pricing or online calculators is dangerous.
If youâre confident in your numbers make them your offer, if they say no then just thank them and move on to the next dealer.
All of the back and forth wondering what the âre doing or why they canât get there is a complete waste of time.
(But I would echo ApexHuntâs comment above that $450+ on a leftover Sport S doesnât seem that great)
Iâd also check his (or any dealers) MF/RV/incentives numbers instead of trusting a buy rate sheet he shared. You can get that info through Edmunds or being a supporter here and using RateFindr.
Not sure what area this is but over 7% sounds high to me for base as Tier 1.
Itâs got what I would like. Sky one touch top, safety package, convenience package, and automatic tran. Here is the window sticker. I looked at 2026 but understandably they were more.
Here is my best attempt at what I got based on their advertised numbers. I also attached their advertised price and the worksheet he sent that doesnât match that advertised price.
Looks like you added a double discount but your initial numbers of $450 was right on. Itâs only an 8% discount - for a leftover 2025âŚ. Change that MF to standard and youâll save few hundred as well.
Have you had a chance to look at some of the deals in âSignedâ? Granted they were last month, but those are the most recent and youâll need info on Feb programs.
Donât look at examples from Dec or before⌠those are true exceptions. Also, take into account the other rebates being applied (loyalty, TDM, affiliate).
With all of the different permutations for Wranglers, and each model and term having its own numbers, it is worth signing up as a super supporter to determine the best term. I can say that a âtrue sign and driveâ usually bumps up the money factor, so you want to at least make the first payment at signing. Also, the â26 models likely have better terms due to a higher residual even if they have less discount. Again, you would have to check.
go look on carguru in a 100 mile radius of you. there are so many higher trims available with what you are looking for including 1 touch roof and all the tech. You can look at sahara if wanting it low key or even rubicon if wanting it all and still get a better lease deal than what this dealer is offering you.
Thank you everyone! I wound up taking the deal. It had everything I wanted in it and more. They met my initial number with really no haggling. The incentives were good through 2/2 so I didnât want to take a chance in possibly losing out on them. I was initially looking at a Sport S for $450 from another dealer. I feel several trim levels up, with additional optional equipment, for less than $50 more was well worth it.
