2025 Volvo EX30 Ultra lease deal check in Oregon

Offered this from Herzog-Meier in Beaverton, Oregon. It appears the money factor is about 0.00411, which seems high:

MSRP : $48,395.00
Rebate: $7,500
Acq fee: $995
Doc fee: $250
Adjusted cap cost: $36835.83
Total due as signing: $7,600.00
Total payment: $567.54
Residual Value: $25,649.35
Government fee: $1272.50
Monthly taxes: $0.00
Up front taxes: $455.78
Capitalized Taxes: $0.00

Seems like a bad deal, though I’m not clear on where I can do better, as Jim Fisher Volvo had no interest in talking to me. Thoughts?

This is a horrendous deal, maybe the worst in recent memory.

The key to hacking is selection. Choose the right car for lease hacking otherwise you’re goin to overpay no matter how much you negotiate.

There are better ev for that price or cheaper lease with similar size ev.

If you can recommend a 400+HP AWD EV that’s <175 inches (not the model 3 performance), I’m all ears.

I have a few we could offer you, if you will be ok with shipping.

Please PM if interested

If you want to construct a goalpost that only one car can go through then go ahead. It’s your money after all.

All $568 x 35 + $7600 = of it.

I’ll bow out of this thread because whatever this is, it’s the complete opposite of hacking.

Well, when you’re looking for what you’re looking for, it narrows one’s choices, so not surprising.

Appreciate the second opinion/verification.

Yeah, you should. Not everyone on here is trying to hack something to death. Some just want a decent deal on a car they want.

Or in my case, to become educated and not get screwed over because of my ignorance.

Model 3 is 185.8. If that’s acceptable, check GV60.

Not the 3 performance, it’s too long. I’ll check the GV60 Thanks!

Just received this offer from our local Volvo dealer in Oregon. My original April post had something like a 0.00391 MF and was awful. They had add-ons for theft protection and PPF, and this quote has none of that. This is closer to being reasonable, and wondering how much harder I can or should push?

MSRP/Retail $48,395.00
Selling Price $48,395.00
Rebate $13,000.00
Acq. Fee $995.00
Proc/Doc Fee $250.00
Adjusted Cap Cost $38,923.39
Total Payment $575.32
Residual Value $23,713.55
Government Fee $1,272.50
Monthly Taxes $0.00
Upfront Taxes $435.56
Capitalized Taxes $0.00

Sales person told me that Volvo dropped their rates and increased their rebates for the month of July, but also said the $7500 credit is going away at the end of July. The credit going away at the end of July sounds like a tactic to get me to buy this month.

You probably have one opportunity to lease an EV before the bonanza ends. Why are you wasting it on the worst EV value out there?

I wasn’t looking to have my choices or motivations questioned on this specific vehicle, as I like the price and I like it.

But I’ll bite.

What specific reasons do you have against this EV and why, and what would you get instead? Ultimately I’d like to know if I can or should do better on the lease. If you have a specific idea in mind, please name it.

It’s interesting that you don’t want any opinions or advice, yet you are coming to a forum designed to give exactly that. That type of mindset will ensure that you light money on fire. I don’t want to speak for @max_g , but I suspect he is alluding to the combination of:

  • Some vehicles aren’t hackable, regardless of “how hard you push.” I haven’t personally put together a target deal on this vehicle to know what a reasonable discount + applicable incentive yields, but this may fall into that boat
  • Even if you did love the vehicle (which of course is OK, to each their own!), the price doesn’t provide as much value as you can find elsewhere in the segment (many EVs leasing well right now).
  • You are being sold a vehicle at MSRP. Last I checked I don’t think these are / will be selling like hotcakes and command such a premium. I can guarantee broker discount + shipping on this (even to OR) will be cheaper than settling for this joke of a deal.

For starters, negotiate a discount off MSRP.

I believe the rebate is going away on Septermber 30th, 2025. (I just did a Google search, btw).

jm020, I didn’t say I don’t want opinions or advice, rather just not having my choices questioned on what car I want. My specific question was is that a decent lease or not, yet the prior poster decided to crap all over my choices and provide nothing useful to the discussion. That kind of snark just isn’t justified in forums where people are asking legitimate, honest questions. Some of us are still learning.

In fact, thank you very much for your response. You actually provided some detail/context and confirmed it’s basically market, and thank you for the inside information on broker discount + shipping - that’s actually VERY useful information.

I don’t know of another way to ask a question without getting dumped on. But I do appreciate you stepping in and expanding to specifics that are, in fact, useful to me - thank you!
