My 2023 Nissan Ariya Engage AWD lease is expiring soon, and I really like the car: perfect size, more power than many other EVs, HUD, but I just wanted one with a bigger battery. Plus I went up a trim level (adds moonroof, power liftgate, 360-degree camera, and more).

The vehicle also had dealer-installed accessories (addendum shows $553 for wheel locks, floor mats, and door edge and cup film).

I’m a Washington State resident, so typically big rebates mean big taxes and no state incentives. They structured the incentives somehow so nearly all the rebates are untaxed. I made my best stab at a calculator.

A month ago the dealer said my offer wasn’t possible and it would be more like $500+/month. But they called me up last week since my current lease is getting close to being up. I gave them a number and they said ok. Maybe the new Nissan dealer incentive structure focusing on hitting volume objectives played a role.

How much was your previous lease deal?

My 2023 Ariya Engage was an 18 month lease with an effective lease cost of about $330/month.
