2025 Lucid July Air credit $12.5-15k, $1k onsite, $2k trade, $3k loyalty, $500-$1250 referral credits

Has anyone successfully extended a lease?

Same question. Lease coming to an end in 5 months. If you find out, do let me know.

Lots of data points on the Lucid owners forum, but here’s a recent example:

My lease expires in October and I’m planning to extend it 5 months.

Can I transfer out of my lease on lease trader or swap a lease? Any other way out? I would like to get a new lease before the ev credit goes away.

Lucid Financial (Bank of America) does not allow lease transfers or 3rd party buyouts. You’re stuck with it for the duration of the lease

You can get another Lucid.

Oh, I’m not upset at all but I’m not going to offer any professional advice on LH. Definitely not in this case dealing with a know-it-all drawing tax wisdom from reputable travel blogs.

To put things in perspective: you come off as one of those people who come to LH with a horrendous offer trying to get a seal of approval and get defensive when others tell them how bad that quote is.

I can go on and troll you all night long… and still have some fun (although the law of diminishing returns has been hard at work for a while now) but your stubborn reliance on your travel blog sources and especially unwillingness - or is it inability? - to comprehend obvious difference between Shankar and Akineev cases is making it somewhat moot.

Enjoy trying to squeeze some fractional value from either UR or MR, I am quite content getting 2.625% cash rebate on 90+% of my purchases while the rest get 3 to 6% rebate.

PS: Akineev could’ve saved a step and money by not buying money others but rather using a well known platform to pull the funds from the gifts cards. Money orders and reloadable cards were the only things that got him in trouble.

You don’t really have any advice though that’s the thing. You just quoted some case law as if its an open and shut case. Then you later went against that by saying its a gray area. Then you got upset for some reason and started attacking me personally. Also, note that I drew ā€œtax wisdomā€ from other CPA sites but you conveniently ignore that. You are not infallible (clearly based on the way you argue here)

For reference, it’s great that you use a BoA card. I use that too. There are times to use that, there are times to use other cards. And Akineev may not have known about platiq at that time. Or he may not have wanted to pay the steep platform fee.

Again, I’m not going to offer any professional advice here. The cases were clearly posted for

Continuing the discussion from Off-Topic Landfill 6:

You clearly have serious comprehension issues:

1 - These two particular cases are open and shut: judges made their rulings based on the existing muddy patchwork guidance from the Service. Nothing left to discuss in those two very different but particular situations.

2 - US tax code in general, all tens of thousands of pages of it, can be unclear or uncertain. Thus the shades of gray reference. Big picture!

3 - Linking to some random CPA’s site is just as authoritative as the travel blogs. S/he may be a true expert in any given area… except no one knows who they are. Not exactly KPMG or Deloitte. Besides, reading those blogs and not understanding how the law applies to specific situations is just GIGO.

4 - I made it fairly obvious that BofA is my go-to but not the only card by stating 3-6% cash back on some purchases that it simply doesn’t offer.

Was not talking about Plastic either. Nice try though. Please play again!

Maybe you aren’t as clear as you think you are. Seems like you have these fantasies inside your head where everyone claps after you present your argument. I can assure you that’s not the reality here.

There really isn’t much more to say. You put yourself in the middle of a discussion by presenting a ruling where you thought we should claim non cash reward redemptions as business income. I disagreed. It seems you agreed that it was up for interpretation, then you started going off on tangents and got upset when someone challenged your expertise or called you old? In any case, there’s no need to be so offended. Have a good rest of your day though!

Besides living in your head rent free, I live in a very real world with very real outcomes. I don’t need any clapping from the inanimate objects to confirm my successes in life.

Sorry your density affects my clarity!

PS: You’re still nowhere near understanding the Shankar decision, lol!

Yes, you’re living in my head rent free, that’s why you respond to all my messages within a few minutes (at all hours of the day) after saying that you would stop posting. That’s why you feel the need to throw personal insults while I’ve stayed relatively to the point. That’s why you need to bring up your own personal success at every possible opportunity. Everything you’ve said can be applied right back to you. Maybe get off LH once in a while or turn off notifications lol. I’m sure you’d love the last word here.

Typical Dunning-Kruger!

Please keep the conversation civil and do not insult others.

We can talk about tax law without throwing personal attacks!

Any predictions for the new Lucid pricing or lease deals starting tomorrow, 6/1? We have a current Air Pure lease expiring in June and are looking for a good reason to stay with Lucid again.

Victoria, with all due respect, this was not a tax law discussion. You have a not so bright individual with a history of making ageist, racist and other offensive comments who also happens to be extremely opinionative on the matters he has no capacity to comprehend as he demonstrated while trying to hide behind the alleged lack of clarity of my posts. Well, he doesn’t understand either above-referenced case and different issues that led to different rulings. Striking out very consistently while begging for a free tax advice. Nope! He can go back to his favorite blogs for that.

This WAS a tax law discussion until you went off tangent and have provided nothing of substance since. The irony is that I asked for clarification on claiming business flights as taxable income yet you’re not willing to respond on-topic because doing so would be giving ā€œfree tax adviceā€. Then why post anything at all?

The truth of the matter is this: We are all knowledgeable in at least one field here. I am a retired quant trader who has experience in AI/ML design. If that topic comes up, I’m going to offer my constructive feedback. I’m not going to subtly post some research paper, offer no explanation, and then get mad when someone challenges me. Nor am I going to hide behind some BS excuse such as I don’t offer ā€œfree investment adviceā€ like you’re doing now.

There’s a reason why Violet called you out. If you fail to understand that, then you need to relax, take a deep breath, and come back. Because as it is, whether its you reading thru my entire post history, or responding to all my posts within 10min at all times of the day, or you deciding to throw some petty insults, you’re taking things way too seriously

Any news on ordering the Gravity?

Reviews from a month ago showed it as the best thing ever.

Don’t have much time for a detailed response now (wait until nighttime when I’m most active), but you’re really good at twisting the facts and dealing in half-truths while casting stones living in a glass house.

And, BTW, it’s Victoria - at least get the name right!
