I have generally appreciated Kia’s relatively elegant recent designs (esp the EV6), but this is… weird. As in, I wouldn’t have been surprised to see this from BMW weird.

boring design etc. this is why i like bmw, they give no fucks
They’ve successfully muscled their way into the consideration set with Honda and Toyota via the Telluride, earning some credibility with middle class+ families, now they want those same families to consider a K4 instead of a Civic or Corolla for the teens.
It’s boring on purpose, I think.
And look, with the butchering their Hyundai counterparts did on the Santa Fe, maybe conservative wasn’t such a bad play here?
Some specs. The available equipment is kind of insane (heated and ventilated seats and acoustic glass???). And the hatch version def has my attention as a possible next car (although I wish the thing were about 1.5-in narrower overall, and I’m not loving what looks to a really thick D-pillar).

I have always been a fan of affordable and good vehicles. This kia hatch looks good!
Credit to Kia, that K4 Hatch looks amazing.
The sedan does nothing for me, but that Hatch is something else entirely.
