2025 Kia EV6 - Is this a good deal?

I reached out to several dealers because my 2023 Kia EV6 is ending in December. I did not get a great deal in 2023 because I put my 2014 CRV down for $8000 and am paying $286. Live and learn.

I needed to act fast to get something in before the EV Credits ended in September. Their initial offer for a 2025 EV6 Wind AWD Ivory Silver was $454/month with $1,800. BOOOO. I worked with them and got an offer today for $303/month with $0 down.

Is that a good deal?

I would target around $200 including taxes with zero down.

what’s the inventory looking at the dealer?

Thanks for the response.

But curious how is that possible? I have contacted about a dozen dealers and no one was remotely that close.

Working them down to $303 was already quite the exercise!

I’m open to suggestions and tips.

Thanks,
Lorne

Now I just had another dealership give me an offer at $286/mo. But it’s wolf gray and I really want that ivory silver!

By contacted, you structured a deal you want and asked if they can do it? Or asked them what they want you to pay, and they sent you a sheet?

I reached out and said I need to be below my current lease payment. Then they came back with their numbers.

Is that what you’re asking? This is my second lease. So I’m not sure what to do differently.

Have you looked up the money factor, residual, incentives and plugged them into the calculator to see where your baseline is? Then compared roughly what the brokers are doing in the marketplace to see how much off you are? Have you used visor.vin or cargurus to see how many units there are within a radius that you can close as soon as your terms are met?

I get this is your second lease but I would encourage you to do some more research before you interact with dealers.

These look great numbers to me… do you mind sharing the dealership name, I need one by end of the month

All the info is here. It shows $227. But honestly no deal is even coming close to this. So how do you get them to come down to that number?

I would remove the incentives from the sale price and include them in their proper places.
After that you can get a better idea of what dealer discount you are getting. Currently, your calculator makes it seem like you are getting 41.4% dealer discount.

Couple of things are incorrect. Selling price is incorrect. Most of the rebates/incentives goes in taxes rebates. And did you get the base MF or this MF was provided by dealer?

Just to adding to what others are saying so you have a better picture… my understanding is right now the EV6 wind for 24/10 is .00149 MF and 58% RV; $13,800 incentives. Plus there is an additional $1000 bonus case. Plus doesn’t CO receive a $3500 credit too?

I noticed after I posted it that it was wrong. Try the link below.

the MF was from the dealer, so it’s confirmed.

Not sure why due at signing has numbers. I have $0 due at signing, if I check the Zero Drive-Off it jumps to $389.

Can you break all that down? The incentives are both Federal and CO credit being applied to vehicle now and not via my taxes at Year end.

I do have $1000 bonus cash rolled in for loyalty.

6% dealer discount could be improved further. Target 8%-10%, if possible. Otherwise, seems like a decent deal.

Sorry my CO lease credit amount was off.

$13,800 lease cash
$1,000 bonus cash
$3,850 CO credit

$18,650 total incentives you qualify for correct?

Thanks for the info.

  1. Where is the federal EV credit?
  2. Where are you finding $13,800 for lease cash? That should include the federal right?
  3. Colorado is $3,500 as far as I can tell.

I went back and forth with this dealership so many times that I’m not sure what the total $19,650 covers. I emailed them asking for a breakdown. They told me but we likely went back and forth 12+ times. So lost track of that email communication.

I received a breakdown from the dealer. See below.

$3600 Discount
$1000 EV6 lease bonus cash $13800 Kia special lease cash
$3850 CO EV tax credit assignment
$1000 Owner loyalty

$23250 total

You have to separate the incentives and what they are discounting the car. Incentives for the most part are monies you qualify for; it’s a given (usually). You are at roughly 6.41% PRE-INCENTIVES. If the rest of your numbers are right you are showing $271 a month with $0DAS and $0DOWN. You had said you are at $303 a month so something is missing in your numbers…

Unfortunately it sounds like getting things from the dealer is taxing… have you tried another dealer in the area with the same MSRP/color you want and sent an email with the terms you want knowing a good chunk of the numbers and what roughly you should be shooting for? Like you don’t have to stick with this one dealer.

I’ve gotten another dealer down to $286 for the color I don’t want. I want an ivory silver but there is only one and it’s being shipped now.

Rest are wolf gray that is my second choice and available.

I reached out to many dealers saying I’m currently paying$286 for my ev6 2023 lease and they came back with 400, 500+!? So they were cut immediately. Some dealers were appalled if ask for numbers.

I think I’ll go back to this other dealer and tell them I was offered $286 and see what they come back with.

Thanks for all your help!
