After many failures trying to secure this car for my target deal across the country over the past 1-2 months and giving up pursuing, a local dealer reached out with an offer on a 2025 with a shorter term/higher mileage that was very close to my target deal so I took it.
It includes 3 years of free Electrify America charging sessions and I have an EA charging station across the street from my neighborhood, so charging will be free the entire lease.
Initially we landed on $527/mo w/ $2k DAS, and while I was interested in the up-sell tire package given my past luck with destroying tires (my 3 series BMW needed 3 new tires from road debris in a little less than 2 months), I wasn’t willing to pay $60/mo for it. I eventually got them to just about the price of 1 tire ($15/mo, $360 total), but they oddly reduced the price of the car to get there rather than the price of the package, which is how the numbers worked out in the calc at $483/mo (I didn’t include the price of the tire package in the calc as I wasn’t sure how nor if I should since it may not be applicable to all). Interestingly, I suppose I could cancel the package now to drop my price down to $483, but I imagine the dealer would freak out.
Anyway, really happy with the car so far. It’s a literal rocket ship when you press the accelerator with a 0-60 under 4 seconds, and it’s smooth as butter. Looks like the Rivian I planning on will have to wait to 2026. Thanks for all the help all!
It’s cool to see you get the car you wanted at a deal you ended up happy with after all the crap in the other thread! Enjoy the new car, to me its a nice car for $500ish/mo especially since you like it.
Really love the look of this car. I hate black leather because of how hot it gets, but white has its own set of challenges. Did the interior just come down to what was available for the deal?
I personally like the look of the white interior better with the two tone contrast, but with kids that must have been livestock in a previous life, black is always the better option in my family.
I hear ya. It’s a gorgeous exterior and the price you got is beautiful. I’ve been looking at them in NJ where tax is waived on EVs and hoping to find a similar deal congrats!
Wow – that is a beautiful car in a beautiful color for an amazing price.
The 68% residual figure is crazy though – I wonder who at Genesis Finance thinks the car will still be worth that much in two years !! But hey, great job finding it.
I just signed a GV60 lease myself for $550/mo, with 13.5k of incentives, but with only a 59% residual, which drove the monthlies up.
Its better than i expected, seats fold flat and the trunk opening is very wide - just moved a sit stand desk and large ergonomic chair without having to disassemble anything.
As for the back seat, the car seats might be a little tight if rear facing, so i would check one out in person just to be sure.
And you’re doing it right with the two-year lease – I completely blanked on even asking if that was an option when I was leasing. The two-year lease option is much better, given the EV lease incentives… alas, water under the bridge, etc.
Wow congratulations! I didn’t realize dealers were offering lease incentives for 2025 GV70. The local dealers said lease incentives were only for 2024 models. And the 2024 gv70 electrified were sold out
Good to know it’s possible to get a deal on 2025. I think you got a great deal!
<Correction: checked Genesis website and yes they do offer $10K lease incentive for 2025 GV70 AWD>
AtomicDutchOven - how do you like your sound system and the electronically controlled suspension? I find good value in Electrified AWD version and I wasn’t sure if Prestige was worth it given the cost of the Lexicon sound system and HUD display
The suspension is great - very noticeable difference between sport and comfort feels like your floating on a cloud, its very, very smooth. I know it has some tech where it reads the road in front of you with the camera and adjusts to road conditions in advance, but the roads aren’t all that bad up here in North Georgia, so I’m not sure how much benefit I get from it. But I love it.
The base sound system is decent - it’s grown on me as I’ve gotten accustomed to the sound profile, but it’s not stellar. Bass is good, mids are a bit hollow, and the treble is ok but gets a bit lost without having tweeters at ear level. It does get loud without much distortion though, but it doesn’t really get me jamming. That being said, I didn’t find the Lexicon to be all that much better when I heard it either, and also lacked ear level tweeters from what I could see , so it didn’t impress me all that much. It was indeed a bit cleaner with better separation in the mix, but not for the outrageous price they’re asking for it. Kinda sad given the price of the cars and the fact that they couldn’t include Lexicon standard on both EV trims.
The sound systems in the EQE/EQS I was cross shopping were markedly better, in fact I actually preferred the sound signature of the JBL setup in my 4XE Jeep Wrangler over my GV70 - its one area I think they truly need to spend a bit more time on.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve heard considerably worse - but it’s not very impressive.
I got close to leasing the 2024’s when Genesis had an $18.5k lease incentive in May. Rented a GV70 Electrified on Turo here in LA and was very impressed. I really preferred it to the GV60 Advanced. It was quieter than the Mercedes EQS sedan I rented on the highway. Just couldn’t pull the trigger on ~$650 a month effective for 36 months. California taxes the incentive so $100 a month of that is tax. Ended up doing a one pay lease on a $55.5k MSRP Ioniq 5 RWD Limited for $425 a month effective for 24 months. This is my first EV so I didn’t want to do more than 24 months.
