Mind blown…As a Maryland resident, I can assume a lease and not pay the crazy tax???…well i guess the tax is getting paid technically with each monthly payment but still

Correct. If either tax was paid upfront on commencement of the lease or if the tax was included in monthly’s (as is the case here) no further tax is payable on assumption.

To be fair to MD, other than the taxes, the Lariat trim specifically didn’t or doesn’t lease as well as the Lowe trims - Flash/XLT.
