I was coming up against the residual value issue. Thanks to @amasih for the suggestion on getting a rebate check back instead!

I also had Costco but they couldn’t squeeze it into the deal. I’m still very happy with the deal!

Did you get the check back same day? @amasih @Fin I don’t want to get hustled here with that. Unless is shows on the deal somewhere I’m not seeing.

Congrats! Amazing deal!

I actually didn’t get a check. I did a one-pay lease, and they charged my new GM card the one-pay net of the post-sale rebate. But I think others that have done similar things got checks the same day. Just make sure you clarify with the dealer how funds settlement will take place.

Congrats! Though I don’t know what they meant by they couldn’t squeeze Costco in. It’s not even money that comes out of their pocket; they should have just paid that out to you, which is completely legal.

Regardless, beautiful truck! I hope you enjoy it. That ultimately is all that will matter.

They are sending me a check - this is a local dealer I have dealt with many times in the past. They are very honest and gave me everything in writing.

For all I know, they may be pocketing the Costco behind the scenes. That’s fine by me if it got me this deal at this price!

No. I’ll confirm once I receive it but this wasn’t a random dealer.

How is your experience driving the truck so far?

It’s awesome. I don’t have anything bad to say at all. It’s the best driving truck I’ve owned - and I’ve had Denalis and the like.

I’m coming from a cheap Lyriq lease (I have it listed here) and this has all the bells and whistles I wanted. WOW mode is kind of scary, to be honest!

Super Cruise is amazing and I’ll already be using the multi-flex Midgate tonight!

And lastly, the 22s are the perfect tires for this truck. I would dread replacing the 24s…but the 18s look extra small on a truck this big!

Insane deal congrats! What was your approach to securing this? Did you send an offer laying out exactly what needed to be done to get it funded?

I wasn’t really looking hard. They had an ad on their website for about twice this plus taxes and fees. They originally were going to be at $220/month on one pay with all of my incentives but they couldn’t do it since the cap cost was way below RV.

I came to the forums and saw a few people mention getting checks back to circumvent that issue with GMF. The dealer made some calls and came back with this structure. I agreed and put down the deposit right then.

What was the MSRP on this? 81k/83?

Awesome! What rebates did you qualify for to get $6,500? Supplier (1,750) Loaner (2,750) and what else if they didn’t use Costco for $1k?

$85k and I think it’s $3k off for the premium package discount

Gm employee ev was $3750 and loaner was $2750

Congrats! Sweet deal! How did you find this deal? I’d love to get a pickup for $250/m and can swing the single pay and I’ve got an 800 FICO. But every time I’ve tried, it’s always such a PITA dealing with dealers and most tell me they don’t even do a single pay lease.

I just got lucky that a dealer I have worked with in the past, that is about 10 miles from my house, really wanted to unload this one. The finance guy was great - he mentioned he barely ever does one-pays but was willing to play ball on this one.

Why do they barely ever do one pay? Is it less advantageous or profitable for them?
