2025 BMW X7 Lease

Hi,

This is my first ever car lease. I want to hear your advice before heading to my dealder. I really appreciate any advice you can share with me.

Vehicle: BMW X7 40i
Term: 10K/36month, 0 down.
Location: SoCal

Im going thru BMW online inventory and the ones with preferred options have MSRPs around 93-94K (2025 model). My questions are:

  1. What is the expected discount?
  2. What are the incentives I should ask for?
  3. Edmund default caluation show MSRP $94,275, discount 6%, lease credit 1000, monthly payment $1316 + 198 tax. Does that sound right?

Welcome

If you’ve already decided on the car, your next visit to the dealer should be to sign papers. Don’t try to negotiate in person.

Instead, understand exactly where the market is and make an offer.

Your next dealership visit should be to sign the papers on the offer they accepted before you arrived.

Check Marketplace - FORUM | LEASEHACKR and Signed Deals & Tips - FORUM | LEASEHACKR for recent data points.

You don’t really ask for incentives. You can find out which ones apply to your target vehicle this month using the Rate Findr function in the Super Supporter calculator (or you can post a request in the 2025 X7 deal thread on Edmunds and wait for a response). Use what you’ve uncovered to model your offer.

Ignore this and do your own calculations based on what the market’s actually doing.

If this all seems daunting - and it is at first  - you can also hire a broker and get a pre-negotiated deal. The fee will be nominal compared to going it alone unprepared and without a solid understanding of how this all works.

Hi trism,

Thank you very much for the advice, especially the links to signed deal and marketplace. I see how i can better search the forum using the filters.

Learning lease negotiables and how to use them in the calc to generate your own payment/DAS usually saves the previously uneducated many thousands so spend time in the Wiki here too.
