2025 BMW i5 , Question on sales price ( negotiation and lease incentives)

Hi forum , I have regarding the final sales price of a car when taking into consideration the lease incentives and the actual negotiations .

I’m looking at 2025 bmw i5 , more or less fully loaded. MSRP is listed at $78175

I’m looking at truecar and ~66k or 67k seems to be a pretty good sales price to get. There is also a 7500 lease credit incentive on this. My question is the ~66k or so listed in truecar includes this 7500 incentive or I can negotiate sales price down to 66k and then the 7500 is on top of it ?

That would put the capcost at ~58500 , that like ridiculous for this car ? Please help and educate me

Why are you looking at Truecar when you can check the forum marketplace offers?

is it bad to look at multiple sources and get more information ?

Truecar isn’t a good source of this kind of information, so in this case, yes, it is bad to look at.

The truecar “pricing” includes incentives. So if you back the $7500 out of the discount, a $67k sales price would be around 4-5% pre-incentive discount, which is terrible for something like an i5.

It’s a learning experience, but that’s why we’re saying just forget about truecar.

Check the Marketplace to see what brokers are offering, as well as what others have signed for in the Signed Deals & Tips section. Use these datapoints to build your target deal.

There are many brokers who handle BMW in Northern California. Just look at the offers in the Marketplace to see what types of deals are possible. One broker is advertising up to 12% off MSRP on an i5 PLUS $7500 EV and $1500 Loyalty rebates. The i5 is one of the most hack-able leases on the market today.
