Why are so many i4 lease holders looking to get out of them so quick? Every day I see at least 1-2 private transfer posts for i4s.

For the past few years, EVs have represented a large bulk of the “best deals” on LH.
MB doesn’t allow lease transfers.
Audi doesn’t allow lease transfers without the original lessee remaining liable.
BMW has a clean and easy transfer process.
Given the volume of BMW leases, you should expect to see a lot of i4 and iX transfers.

As for 1-2 i4 transfer posts per day, perhaps you just have a bad memory and keep re-reading the same posts thinking they’re new. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: I definitely don’t see 30-60 new posts in the past 30 days. And of the posts I do see, most of the leases are through 30-50% of their term.

I’m only transferring mine because I found a deal on another car. I’ve had 7-8 i4’s (maybe 9?) in all variations…e40 e35 M50 xD40. They’re all great cars. The effective payment on this xD40 is lower than I was paying on an e35 just 2 years ago. And the xD is much quicker than the e40.

Makes sense. Glws

I didn’t have time to remove the aero wheel inserts on my car but I found these pics of a similar car. The wheels without the inserts look really nice. Just one Torx screw per insert.

Reduced down to $3000 making this $394/mth effective…for an xDrive40, not an eDrive40.

If you care about this metric, the LeaseHackr score for this deal is 14!!!

Wow, what a difference without those pizza slices! Had no idea they were removable… Wonder how much range they really add? Oh, and a great deal as usual lol!

Yeah. I wish I had known this years ago. I’ve had several i4s with the aero inserts and I guess I’ve gotten used to the look. But the wheels do look better with the inserts removed.

Lucid has something similar in regard to the inserts.

Same with Tesla.

In all fairness, I think half of the i4 transfers posted in the last year are you, hah!

It’s an honor to hold this distinction. :trophy: :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Just listed on SAL.

The build sheet lists “M Sport Brakes with Blue Calipers” but the calipers look like the regular silver ones? Or am I seeing it wrong?

That is strange. I wouldn’t have noticed the discrepancy but I checked the car and the calipers are indeed silver.

I did find this thread on Reddit that talks about BMW being out of blue calipers about a year ago…which is when this car would have been produced.

It was never supposed to have blue calipers, it was an issue they had where build sheets were showing that option on non-MSport cars.

That’s good to know. Glad to have industry experts on this forum.

Still available.

i could’ve transferred this 4x already IF ONLY:

-TX didn’t tax on full car value

-the term were shorter than 33 months

-I’d do it for $0 down and pay for shipping

-their current lease ended in Jan or Feb instead of March

You’d have even more hilarious responses if you had MSDs in this.

But really good luck… just gotta hang in there till the right one comes along.
