2024 VW Atlas SE w/Technology Signed $460 with $5,830 DAS

So with the lease on our 2021 VW Atlas nearing it’s end I quoted her a new one two months ago and everyone was $700-800 two months ago. We decided to buyout her lease when it was finished. We went to purchase it at our local VW in Miami and after a few hours of them trying to get us to downsize to another model or take a less optioned atlas we ended up driving home in a 2024 for the same $460 we were paying on on the 2021 with $1429 total cash due at signing. First month and some fees basically. Any questions or if I’m missing anything let me know.

One thing to note the dealer never brought up my trade in. Since we had made our last payment they said it was just like we turning in a lease end. They said we were getting lease loyalty rebates. I noticed now on the contract the rebate sections was blank and money was in the net trade in section. Unfortunately I wasn’t in the room for the signing because we had our 5 year old with us and I had to run to grab him dinner since we weren’t expecting to be there so late. My wife just signed because the numbers are what we had agreed to and didn’t look at details. A mistake I won’t make again LOL. Not sure if was just an error on their end or misinformation. I typed it up below how it is in the contract.

Here are the details

Edited it. Thanks

I would agree on that. Is this a FWD or AWD ?

Also they kept saying we were getting rebates for lease loyalty etc while we were there. I noticed now on the contact the rebate section was blank and that money in the net trade in section so that’s how I typed it up here. Maybe the guy just wanted to go home and wrote it in the wrong section?

Our other car was never really discussed, they just said there were taking it in as a lease end or whatever since we had already made the final payment and had like one week to turn it in.

Sorry, it’s FWD

They bought out your lease and rolled in the positive equity into the deal to get you to that payment.

I believe so too. I just made a note about it in the original post. Unfortunately when we got to the numbers we agreed on I wasn’t paying attention since it was late and had ran to grab my 5 year old some fast food. I was helping him eat in the office across. Financing was in my wifes name and she didn’t question anything

Its done now. Enjoy the car. But next time, take your time with everything and dont ever rush…especially at a dealership

Yup. Wife loved her Atlas and was ready to keep it. The updates in the 2024 are nice and we’re happy. Got the color we wanted originally too but couldn’t find one during the pandemic.

Interesting note I was reading they gave us $29,000 for her car supposedly and I saw her car listed over the weekend for $26,400 and is already gone off their site now.
