So with the lease on our 2021 VW Atlas nearing it’s end I quoted her a new one two months ago and everyone was $700-800 two months ago. We decided to buyout her lease when it was finished. We went to purchase it at our local VW in Miami and after a few hours of them trying to get us to downsize to another model or take a less optioned atlas we ended up driving home in a 2024 for the same $460 we were paying on on the 2021 with $1429 total cash due at signing. First month and some fees basically. Any questions or if I’m missing anything let me know.
One thing to note the dealer never brought up my trade in. Since we had made our last payment they said it was just like we turning in a lease end. They said we were getting lease loyalty rebates. I noticed now on the contract the rebate sections was blank and money was in the net trade in section. Unfortunately I wasn’t in the room for the signing because we had our 5 year old with us and I had to run to grab him dinner since we weren’t expecting to be there so late. My wife just signed because the numbers are what we had agreed to and didn’t look at details. A mistake I won’t make again LOL. Not sure if was just an error on their end or misinformation. I typed it up below how it is in the contract.
