Great deal. Dealer was willing to work with me on price and applied ABA, Costco, Fed EV, Lease Cash, and first month free rebates. CO EV rebate did not apply since mileage was over 1500. This deal can be done anywhere in the country.
Edit: Lots of people asking for dealer info. They don’t have more inventory like this so it really doesn’t matter. The key for people to remember is that I didn’t go in ‘expecting’ a huge discount. I was friendly, got the sales team excited about making a sale in a 5-minute phone call with zero effort on their part, and they happened to be entertained by the absurd leasing dynamics at play. This was a one-time deal and they’re not going to do it again otherwise I would have picked up two of them. Good luck to all!
If Colorado dealers won’t play ball, just use a broker from the Southeast and get it shipped. You might still even come out ahead. In this situation you’d just apply for the $5,000 rebate on your taxes next year.
In the end, 10% off locally with the smaller rebate and CO rebate applied at POS is probably equal to 12% off and getting it shipped then applying for the rebate next year on your taxes. A dealer would probably understand this if you explained it kindly…
People are calling every Volvo dealer in the country with the proposals, so the dealers think that they are sitting on gold.
The dust needs to be settled in order to get some decent deal toward the end of the month or the end of the year.
