2024 Tellurides

How negotiable is a 2024 Telluride that’s been on the lot for over 100 days? How much off MSRP should I be targeting? Are they hackable?

Did you check the marketplace?

Constantly

Try for 10%! I did that on a Sportage but got shot down to 6%

Got 10% off on an EX last month. It was a high volume dealer in competitive area who only had a few 2024s left and a bunch of 2025s

They are not lease hackable.

But they are good cars to own because they retain value better than most.

$2,000 off an EXP should be your target, regardless of how long it’s been on the lot. Your best bet is probably a high velocity dealer, not someone who “knows what they got.”

This is so typical. Hilarious!

My local dealer has some specials going on and wondered what you would come back with if given this info. What if I asked I can do that payment but I am not putting any money down. Is that a big ask?

You can ask the question in multiple ways but the answer remains the same.

You know the Hyundai Palisade gets Over $3000 just in rebates? It’s similar to the Telluride so you might want to look that way.

Good idea but I don’t care for the look of the Palisade as much. There is a reason why the Telluride gets such good ratings and the Palisade does not.

Which “good ratings” does the Telluride get that the Palisade does not?

Consumer Reports named Kia Telluride SUV of the year.

Which is why the Telluride is not getting the rebates. Same power train and very similar dimensions.

Hard pass. CR has been :no_entry_sign: for many years now.

Can you please share the link for this? The Telluride is Consumer Reports top-ranked SUV in its class, but, AFAIK, Consumer Reports doesn’t name any type of car/truck of the year.

My bad. I got my magazines mixed up. It was my Car and Driver magazine that I used to have that named it Best SUV of the year.

I’m not here to change your mind, I’m just here to straighten out some statements.

Maybe you remember a bit wrongly…it was named Top 10 SUVs of the year, not BEST. In the same Article from January 2024, they mentioned they like the Chevy Trax too.

HOWEVER in the Editor Choice for 2024, the Palisade is mentioned

They are essentially 98% the same car.

BTW are you shopping for two separate cars? Your other post mentions a $300/m goal.
