Porsche’s myriad of options is a real love-hate relationship

Thank you for the comments. I’ve actually experienced this while building a new one on Porsche’s web site.

So many micro-decisions for someone like me who makes virtually every [non-work] decision in slow motion.

Just last week, 11 months after I started asking, I had this detail work done.

World of car detailing?

The detail department at the place I normally get my car washed will do a wash, orbital buff, clay bar, high speed polish, and wax (not sure if I got the sequence right ) plus detail the rest of the exterior for $300. They need the car for 5-6 hours. I think we have a plan.

Meanwhile, the price had gone up from $300 to $375.

(And full disclosure, to get me over the hump, I talked my parents into taking the car in while I’m on the other side of the country, because it felt more like their decision in the end. I’ll know if they made the right choice when I see the car on Saturday. ).
