The same dealer that gave the incredible i7 deal also gave me this blowout on an EQB. As some of you may know, I posted about my terrible EQB deal from last year ($675/month)… this is my redemption arc. I don’t care that I don’t get the savings, because it’s going to my best friend’s mother. I lost my closest friend in 2020, and being able to do something like this for his mother is truly an honor. She is so beyond thrilled. She can’t believe it’s possible.
Once again, this deal was done by putting together an offer sheet. The deal happened based on the sheet below. We originally agreed on $199/month with $0 DAS (25% off at buy rate). Then the programs updated for June and the lease cash increased by $3,000. I think he was shocked when I pushed to use that lease cash, but he did at least give us some. The full amount combined with the original 25% discount on offer would have put this deal below the minimum MBFS payment which I believe is $165. So he basically got us to the minimum. Certainly can’t complain and one of the craziest I’ve done yet payment wise.
When I am using the Rate Findr feature in the calc and I enter the listed MSRP of $59,860 and Selling Price of $47,079 - do I also apply the $12,000 dealer bonus cash to the deal? Or does the Selling Price already already include the dealer bonus cash?
I ask because I found a dealer with a loaner '24 EQB 300. They are listing a dealer discount of $7,000 and Mercedes-Benz lease incentive of $19,500.
Indeed, but I do have my own albatross EQB that I’m praying goes lemon on me. That’s my only way out . Payment aside, I love the car apart from the charging and range, which don’t affect our use case.
So you’ll notice in my sheet I clearly separate the dealer discount, even though all dealers will include the MBFS lease cash in their selling price. That’s because it’s dealer cash with the dealer as end recipient, and dealers don’t pay tax on rebates. This means 2 things- the dealer will hide this dealer cash if they can and pretend it’s their dealer “discount/contribution”, and the cash is not taxable. I can’t tell you how many dealers told me I’d “doubled” up on the incentive. I most certainly did not. “I want the car for free!!” Said the greedy hacker.
Anyway, with the increased incentive cash, most dealers won’t be doing 20% discounts at this point. At least, that was my experience when trying to recreate this deal anywhere closer than Georgia. A more reasonable ask would be the attached calculator. I’ve updated using your terms, NY tax, and my dealer’s doc fee. You’d need to update as needed and also add your loaner miles for the residual adjustment. But this is still a great deal for a $0 DAS in my opinion. I personally wouldn’t even set out to recreate the deal I posted, it’s a bit too far to be worth the time. I got LUCKY .
I love it when we can do kind things for others. You were a hero to your best friend’s mother and I’m sure there is some universal good karma coming back to you for looking out for her. This is so awesome.
