no kidding. Volvo corp would lose their minds if I did that!
I don’t think anyone is saying buy the new GLE and keep it until it dies. It may be cheaper to buy the GLE and keep it for a few years then sell/trade. With the lease numbers being so high it’s hard to make a good case to lease this vehicle. Especially if it involved a large DAS. Might as well just finance it and capture any potential equity when you sell/trade.
I think I am keeping my GLC. Thank you everyone for your advise and feedback.
Just got a lease offer today. 2024 GLE350 MSRP 68545. 36months 1000/month with 5K down. Do you think it’s a okay offer considering the current market?
Contact the brokers here, they may get you a better deal. And think twice about putting anything down on a lease.

Mod update: moved back to original thread.
Veteran Lease Hakrs,
Please share your thoughts on this offer, would it be worth signing or better to wait?
MSRP of the car: $64550

RV: 57%
Taxes: MD 6% (rolled into monthly payments)
Miles: 10,000/yr
Term: 36 Mo
Acquisition Fee: $795
Disp. Fee: $595

My current payoff: $34,616.25
Today’s CarMax offer: $34,600, good through October 1, 2023.
DAS:
1st mo payment of $860.00
Negative equity: $1283.25
Title and registration fees: $260.00
Dealer’s processing fee of $595.00
TOTAL DAS: $2,998.25
DAS without negative equity (if they paid CarMax value) would be $1,715.00
DAS with just sign and drive paying first mo lease: $915.00
Above is $55.00/mo above my preset limit. Also, this is a base model GLE, doesn’t even have a panoramic sunroof.
Would you take it? Or wait for better deals to come along in the next 6 to 9 months?
$800/mo x 36 mo @ 10K mi with $0 down would be acceptable deal on $64K MSRP car (these are rough numbers, as they would vary depending on your state’s tax rate on leased cars). Current MB’s, GLE in particular, don’t have any incentives/promotions/discounts and a good MF to make this possible. MB is only pushing EV’s now (and I don’t mean GLE450e) and there is not much dealers can do about it, they don’t decide on company’s policy on incentives, and there is no surplus of stock they would be motivated to get rid of. To the contrary, you will struggle to find your specific trim, color combinations and often will have to take what they have available. As others suggested on other threads, it’s not the right/good time to lease these cars. I have analyzed the lease numbers carefully on various GLE’s and no matter how good offer you get you will be paying for overpriced lease, because that’s how MB structures them. Basically, they are not interested in pushing these cars, they supply just enough to sell them quickly and at closest to MSRP price, some charge premium on top of it.
I won’t say ‘don’t do it’, it’s your money and you decide what to do with it. If you like driving/having that car more than than the amount of excess money you will be parting with, and it’s not an issue to you, then by all means lease it.
Any thoughts on the specific offer? I know what my thoughts are.
Just signed GLE 450e
MSRP:88700
DAS:5000$
monthly:1300$
A lot of money? Yes! But i fall in love with this car. Sometime with the right car you can pay a bit more, At same price point was X5 Cayene SQ7 and i was considering all of them, MB are on top in luxury feeling, comfort, all 3 oponent are faster with better handling, but for real what we need from big family SUV.
You dont get to make up a mf based on a purchase apr offered.
Elvis left the building
p.s. not holding my breath though
Yeah, not so fast. I’ve got busy and had to take a little break, but here I am, bear hunting season continues.
Fist of all, congratulations! If you are happy with it that’s all that matters.
In terms of the car itself and my personal opinion on GLEs: as someone said, LTV is disproportionately high on those cars. Very low RV and lack of discounts makes it roughly 30%-40% more expensive to lease than Porsche with the same MSRP.
It’s a nice car, no questions about it. I think eventually (may be soon) MB will be forced to roll out huge incentives to move the 2023 models off the lots. I saw some sitting over 144 days at one of my local dealerships.
> Well, once upon a time, there was this redneck who decided to go hunting. After a full day of hunting, he didn’t kill anything so he decided to pack up and go home when all of a sudden, he sees a bear and decides to shoot it. He fires one shot, but misses. The bear comes up to him and says, “You just tried to kill me!”. But the redneck says “No my gun went off by itself”, but the bear does not believe him and says “Now I’m gonna f@ck you in the ass.” So after the bear is done with the redneck, the redneck says “F@ckin bear, I’m gonna kill you” and fires again. But he misses for a second time. The bear comes up to him and says “You just tried to kill me again!”. And the redneck says “No, I dropped my gun and it went off again”. The bear doesn’t believe him and says “I’m gonna make you suck my dick.” So after the bear is done with him he leaves, and the redneck is real mad and fires a third time. But again he misses. So the bear comes up to him and says “You didn’t come here to hunt, did you?”
Im dead lmaoooooooooooo
I prefer the version of this joke that the now king and queen of England tell in the Crown.
