2024 Lightning Flash, 15k Down

Hello.

I am so thankful for this site! Leases are overwhelming, and I am anxious about dealing with F&I.

I live in Indiana and am looking at a 2024 f150
lightning flash.

The last time I financed a car, internet car sales were bare… meaning no one would give realistic numbers online, until you were physically on the lot. At best you’d get a sales price.

So my first question is: What lease numbers could I reasonably ask for online before I drive to a dealership? MF is one thing id like to know so I’m not super pissed in the F&I office.

My second question: I don’t have the best credit, 710 credit score. I know this is ammo for F&I to mark MF/APR up… what ballpark MF would be too high?

Finally, I plan on putting $15k down. The first dealership I’m working with via email had a payment calculator, where I entered my credit score range (660-720) and 15k down. The estimate was $200/month. (Included military, recent grad rebates) I asked the salesperson how close to that they’d be. They responded with:

You can opt for the term that includes Ford installing a charger at your place of residence which would put you around $449/month on a 36 month lease with 15k miles per year OR you could opt for no charger installation for $419/month on a 36 month lease. *These numbers are with eligible rebates included.

The home charger installation looks to be a free incentive with Ford, so Km thinking they’re using that as a tool to try and get more . but is jumping from the $200/mo estimate to $419/mo insane? I feel like there’s a lot of fat in there but pertaining to my first question, I’m not sure how detailed dealers are willing to get with online buyers’ quotes.

Thank you!

Too much money to be putting down on a lease, especially for a truck with a super low MF.

Additionally, if you total that truck during your term, kiss all that money goodbye.

Are those monthly payments including your $15k down, or is that just what the dealer is offering with incentives?

$15k down is crazy on a lease. Don’t do that to yourself.
