Worked this deal today on behalf of a family member for registration in Maryland. No trade, no $ down except first month. 24 month 10k lease. $51,845 MSRP (includes delivery), $15,800 Kia rebate, not eligible for any others $400/month flat including TTL etc.
Maryland has a program to get your excise tax refunded by the state if the MSRP (excluding delivery) is under $50k, the program is currently out of $ for this FY. We will still file an application for when it gets funded next FY. That will bring this down to $275/month effective.
No deal sheet and the contract is with the family member who leased the car - I’ve just been calling dealerships and asking for the GM to skip salesmen who waste your time and aren’t given the ability to commit to a specific number. Get the GM’s number, negotiate directly with them and tell them what will get you in to buy a specific car. Always zero down and roll everything into the lease. Basically acting as an unpaid broker haha.
For both Hyundai and Kia, the the last two cars I’ve helped family members lease, the GM’s gave me their personal cell phone number. Just showed them that I am not going to waste their time and want a straightforward deal!
No offense but i can get a wind trim in texas, true Zero DAS and dealer makes first payment. 24 months, 10K miles. 195/month. I am playing game of chicken with them and said $99/month or dont call me back.
