2024 Honda Prologue Touring - $225 payment with PA tax, $2250 down, 24/10, $56,550 MSRP before add-ons

Hi all,

Just sharing.

Closed on my 2024 Honda Prologue Touring yesterday. I simply blasted dealers with “I’ll pay $2250 down, $225 payment with PA tax, 24/10k, no trades. And my zip code is XXXXX.”

My new Audi Etron GT did not qualify Conquest (makes sense against a Honda), but my son’s 2015 Mini Cooper, in my name, did (they said the Mini was within 10 years of the Prologue so it qualified).

Two dealers gave an ok deal but did not meet my request, and one said they could do the deal, and they were within 20 miles! All happened within one day.

$56,550 MSRP. List price was > $57k with their standard add-on package for wheels protection, scratches, this and that (I did not care about them adding on, as all dealers do, since they met my deal). There is a bunch Honda Lease cash on these apparently, but I can’t make it out from the paperwork. FYI, they said lease cash is taxable in PA but “rebates” aren’t.

They also said Honda Financing will generally allow me to extend the lease for six months, and then another six months at the end, if I want to.

Pearl White.

I was going for the Blazer EV at first, but Honda worked with me and my son “had to have Apple CarPlay!!!”

I’ll try to post more when I have more time.

I love this Forum. My lease deal on the E-tron GT was great too b/c of this Forum. My friends call my Audi the “Free-Tron GT.”

Separately, did anybody see the advertised lease deal in Colorado for the Fiat e500 for $0 down and $0 per month (ha! Colorado incentives I guess).

Congrats! Outside of CO with its own large state rebates, PA is one of the better states for leasing EVs since they don’t tax the OEM rebate.

Are you 9 or 11% tax since it varies in PA?

Post your best attempt at the calculator

Nice deal! PA here as well. I’m interested in a calculator on your deal as well. What part of PA?

Yes. What part of PA? Montgomery County here. We are seriously considering the Prologue vs. a Mustang Mach E

Or 10% for yinzers  !

Congrats OP!

I believe 9%, since I am not in the city (no city tax surcharge). Will try the calc.

Here is the calculator link. I think I got there. I used the national lease interest factor for Honda, as I don’t see it anywhere on the paperwork. I backed the first month payment off my $2250 down. Gross Cap Cost is $45,893.94, per agreement. Then more Cap Cost Reduction of $12.275.77 (which I put under “taxable”). Residual is 55%. 24/10k. Pre-tax cost is $207. With 9% tax that is close to my $225 per month. 16.1 Years Leasehacker Score (is that good??). Cheers

Dealership in Southeastern PA.

I work in Montgomery county. I live on the Delaware County / Chester County border. SouthEastern PA Dealership. PM me if you want more info.

I had to look up the word Yinzer, but now I know.

Apologies for that Eagles/Steelers game the other week! : )

Hahah, too soon!!

One more piece of information that just hit me…I needed “Excellent” credit for this payment. I believe less-than-excellent credit raises the interest rate/factor. I told them upfront my credit was excellent when I email blasted the dealerships. Just thought I would add this, as it was relevant to the resulting monthly payment.

Funny story, they told me at the dealership that “everybody says they have excellent credit,” then they run the credit report and most are no where near what they say. Then the customer says “Oh, but wait, I have a co-signor,” and the co-signor’s credit turns out to be even worse. Just thought is was funny…all the salesmen have to go through to sell a car.
