2024 Cadillac Lyriq Sport 3 AWD Advice

Hello,

I’m trying to work a deal on a leftover 2024 Lyriq loaner. I’m after a decently highly optioned Sport 3 with full leather. I qualify for costco and conquest in addition to the 2,500 loaner cash. As most deals I see on here are Sport / Lux 2, I’m having a hard time figuring out what percentage discount to target. According to cargurus, the vehicle I’m targeting has been on the lot for over 300 days. I’ve seen a couple of posts with greater than 10%. Seems like, with a car this highly optioned that has been on the lot this long, there might be room to move.

Is something like this realistic or am I trying to push too hard?

Trying to get under $500 a month with first and fees at signing.

My apologies, my calculator link was incorrect. Fixed now.

What’s so special about a 3 that’s worth paying so much more than a 2?

It’s a fair question, it’s the ability to get the full leather package. I did some test drives and I found the full leather seats to be a lot more comfortable. I have back problems and I put a lot of value on comfy seats. If I could get full leather on a sport 2, I would.

I could be wrong, but I don’t remember seeing any 14% off deals on non-loaner lyriqs.

Plus level 3 with the leather option is rare. That shrinks your bargaining power.

But GM has >6000 units on the lot across the nation. Something’s gotta give.

Good luck!

This is a loaner that I’m targeting but, yeah, loaners that are AWD and have full leather are few and far between. I found a few within a couple hundred miles. I won’t be able to hit 30 dealers within 500 miles. That’s why I was asking if my numbers are realistic before shooting my shot. I’ll only get so many bullets.

I’m very far from an expert as I’m doing my very first lease right now and using a broker on a new 2024 Lyriq Lux 2 in Florida that is being delivered to my house on Thursday but for a 24/10k lease, I am paying $2k due at signing and less than $350 per month with taxes included. The sticker of the car is about $6k less than the one in your calculator. I qualify for supplier, conquest, Costco and gm card, not sure if you also do too but if I’m able to get that on a new one without the loaner incentive I don’t see why your deal is not at least worth shooting off dealers to see who can get the closest.

I just got verbal agreement to do the deal at $475 / $2,500 down. I asked for $450 / $2,500 in my initial request to the GM. I have them confirming that all of the updates are done before I pick the car up. Assuming that’s so, I’ll be picking up this evening. So this type of deal is possible on a Sport 3 with full leather (MSRP 78,060). This was a car that was at the dealer for ~360 days and is a retired service loaner so that helped. Incentives used are costco, loaner, and conquest.

I’ll leave it up to you guys whether you think this is a good deal. I’m happy with it. If things fall apart before I physically sign, I’ll post it.

This is almost the exact deal im shooting for on a Luxury 3 loaner (non-leather seats) hope they budge, but lots of money and suckers/or people that dont care about getting a good deal up here in the bay area

Keep working at it and you’ll get there.

Closing the loop on my deal. Payment got slightly better due to a credit I had with the tag agency. I picked the car up last night. Transaction was smooth and easy. I may have been able to do better with a broker but when factoring in the broker fee, I think it would have been close. And this one was in my town at a dealer with good customer service. I’m happy.

Supercruise drove me most of the way home. Fantastic.

Congrats that’s a pretty solid deal, specially considering you got everything you wanted as if you special ordered this vehicle. I also kinda wish I got the nappa seats and real wood grain trim. But when I sat in my lux 2 vinyl seats, I found them to be very comfortable and I couldn’t feel/tell the difference and therefore couldn’t justify the price difference.

Have you compared the two and can really appreciate the upgrade or they pretty close to each other?

Yeah, I’ve driven Lyriqs with both seat types. I think the bottom of the seat is significant. The back of the seat is better enough to make the seats work for me. In general, I find the back of the seats to be too firm in both. I drove 4 different Lyriqs in different configuration so take my sample size for what it’s worth.

And yeah, I did get exactly what I wanted with the exception of one thing: I have the oxford stone interior. It’s okay, I don’t hate it. I would have preferred to have the juniper/black interior but that was more difficult to find on the right vehicle. I was willing to give on that to get a deal I was happy with.
