Hello,
Is anyone experiencing any random problems with their car? Drove it last week and went to drive it this morning and all the dashboard lights are on, wont let me move it, stating its due for a service but only has 5k miles on it.
Few months ago, found out in the cold, their is a sensor issue where the car “can’t be driven” but per the service department, okay to drive and once it heats up the CEL will go away spontaneously.
Check in here as you will see far more traffic on your car:
I’ve never had that problem. I’ve also never had a c43 so that also may be my issue.
My experience with Mercedes and I have had more than a few in the last couple of years (both ICE and EV models), you will definitely run into some random issues with them. They will be rare and the car will be driveable, if you are lucky. A true lemon Mercedes on the other hand means you drive a loaner more than your own car until Mercedes agrees to buy back your car…
Just a tad annoyed given how quickly I have to go back to the service department and need a vehicle for work.
Welcome to the Mercedes experience.
Most mb showrooms make more profit (not revenue) on parts + service than selling cars.
Haha yes, your car purchase is almost like buying your membership into the Mercedes service centers…
Issue is i have no car atm. Truck going back today, towing the MB to dealership,
Looking at gc overland 4xe and not trying to get bathed on it. Hopefully get the payment <350
Cant do a full ev
Another vehicle that’s highly likely to be plagued with issues
Very true, look for a hybrid Toyota with an e-cvt if you need bulletproof reliability. Prius Prime leases decently well for example.
Thank you for the insight and agreed even this vehicle isn’t ideal. The brand is bigger in the midwest (at least where I live in Iowa) and subsequently, if I run into issues, there are 3 dealers within 20 mins of me and chances of getting a loaner vehicle are much higher.
-xmas dashboard lights went away and just left with a CEL now but drove fine. still taking it to the service department.
@moodyhank unfortunately, as much as I would love a prius, it won’t work for me. Winters in the midwest get harsh and I drive anywhere 1.5 to 3 hrs away for work to rural towns. With the wind/temp/snow would need something bigger/heavier for safety.
Trying to avoid a purchase right now as well and wait till year end to see what the full truck market is doing.
