That’s about 6% off. If no dealer add and buy rate, that is an acceptable deal on an X5 in CA negotiated on your own. I would still want more like 7-8% off pre-incentive but I think if you hit 6 at the least, that’s not bad.
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a 24 X5 sDrive 40i that had an msrp of 79,600 (including destination) here in Southern California (OC). I was able to negotiate them down to 73,400 before incentives. So that was a discount if 7.8%. I could have leased this but the given the payment for the lease it made more sense to buy. Which is what I did.
the best I was able to do at other dealers was a 6% discount before incentives. All the dealers were offering base money factors at the time. For a 75k msrp after the 6% discount and incentives the with 3k due at signing for 36/10 the payment including taxes of 7.75% was 1,100/month.
Your current discount is not good at all. I can give you the name of the sales guy and dealer I worked with if you like. I also purchased a 7 year100k platinum extended warranty from BMWFS for about 4,100.
