2024 BMW M340i RWD Custom Build Lease Deal Good or Bad?

,

Have you looked into financing it 72 months instead?

I didn’t even know m340i went almost $70k msrp :grimacing:

I think I saw a broker local to you advertise 8% discount from msrp on m340i.

Reallt expensive lease for the car paying close to $40k to rent itn3 years.

You could buy a cpo for $42k 20-30k miles 2021-2022 but it clearly won’t have every option.

Look into brokers near you in the market place good luck

I had them do numbers on financing and I think it was around $1100 per month. Definitely not interested in CPO. Never know how previous owner drove car and for that I keep what I have currently.

I’m in a 2021 right now for $700 a month. Lease is due in March, would have bought the one I’m in now but I was in a accident with it. Car was fixed well by collision shop and miles are at 19k currently. I had this one ordered too but I’m way to paranoid to do a buyout with all the tech the car has. I can’t say something else would have been compromised with the accident and then I get stuck fixing within a five year finance. The car has also lost value with accident so if I needed to dump it for whatever reason during finance I’m afraid of negative equity. Hard decision

You have to do some legwork. Check the Wiki for the thread on best APR

Don’t just accept a monthly number without knowing the APR and how that compares to outside financing.

I was shocked at the monthly payment for lease initially. The quote on lease local after working with three different dealers throughout state was 1k. I got this dealer to work with me from out of state to do the order.

If you are referring to APR on finance I would qualify for best because of credit. That I would go to a local credit union to obtain. The actual calculated rate on this lease was four to five percent easy if I remember right.

It was at 57% and I have mf written down somewhere. This model car has gone up in leasing, it’s definitely not the price I prefer but all of its competitors are about the same or more.

Every CU has their own rates, even for the best credit. You cannot assume your local CU will have the best rates.

What’s the rebates?

Did you lock in December?

Have you researched expected discount percentage and used that along with base MF and RV for your term in the LH calculator? There is no shock if you calculate target payment beforehand. Ask dealers to match your educated target for best results.

I am looking to custom order a new m340i build that is fully loaded. Spoke to a few dealers in my area and they said that they don’t sell cars under MSRP. Is that true?

I am ready to pull the trigger and put the deposit down yesterday as long as I am getting the best reasonable price.

Also, which dealer was this? I’ll try to reach out to them to order a car as well but I will be financing.

They might want MSRP for an m340 that’s on the ground, but for an order you definitely shouldn’t pay sticker. It’s a win-win for them. It’s a sale before the unit hits the lot. And even if you do back out they’ll probably sell it quickly for more $$.

Find a broker in your area on Marketplace. Their fee will probably be about 1% of MSRP but if they can save you 5% off MSRP (just a guess) you’ll still be a few thousand dollars ahead.

Yes it was locked for December. I have a corporate sales program discount on car but rebates would have been same. 1k lease credit and 2k corporate sales program discount. Also he had to adjust value down for car due to quoting me 39 months instead of 36. If car was on ground 39 month offer was okay but ordering and allocation made it 36.

I’d beat that deal on the front end for sure but tbh I can’t in good conscience say you’d be better off for it given $1,000 of it would be offsetting a rebate you won’t get with a new application.

I guess if you really wanted to order a diff spec it’d make sense? :man_shrugging:

Complete BS. I was told the same thing by some dealers. Meanwhile, I just signed a custom order lease with my broker for 6% off MSRP + incentives. The funny thing is when those same dealers called me up to follow-up, I mentioned to them the deal I got and how I put a deposit, for them to tell me they could match it
