2024 BMW i4 xDrive40 $68580 MSRP, $3k down, $350/mth ($435 effective), MSDs, 36/7.5k, white / beige

There’s always someone who will debate anything. If I didn’t have MSDs, someone would probably post “this deal would have been better with MSDs”. :sunglasses:

Actually, 2 people have messaged me tonight about the car (1 from SAL and 1 from LH). We’ll see if either commits.

Right, but I think a lot of people can afford the $350 a month or the $435 a month effective, but the $5450 or $2450 up front is what they can’t afford.

Honestly, if someone cannot afford a couple of grand down, they really should not be leasing at all.

Yes, that’s probably 50% of current leases.

Keep in mind - being able to “afford” something as opposed to being able to make the payment are two entirely different scenarios.

Well, being one paycheck away from not being able to make the next payment is not my definition of affordability either.

You’re not wrong and I’m fully aware of MSD impact but I would say outside of a select handful of members, the majority of LHers want the cheapest deals possible with minimal out of pocket.

You’ll find someone, just going to take a bit longer.

Also, just an observation on i4, feels like it takes longer to move than the IX as an example. There was a guy in the Northeast with a decent deal and it took him months with incentive to get it gone.

I personally don’t like to base opinions on anecdotal information but, if you’d like to do so, consider it only took 2 days to find someone to take over my last i4 lease.

This isn’t conclusive but, of the last 40 deals posted under Signed, 19 chose to put down $1000 or less and 21 chose to put down more than $1000 (close to 50/50). Of the 21 that chose to put down more than $1000, the average DAS was $5045.

Transfer pending.
