Hello everyone,
I am negotiating with a SoCal BMW dealer to lease a demo car.
Below are the details:
2024 BMW I4 e40
New msrp was, $64k, used price is $54k
Odometer is 9,000 miles
They refused my offer of $2,500 down (out the door), $500 (includes tax) x36 months. Includes 15,000 miles/annual
Their offer is $2,500 down, $569 x36 months. Same annual mileage. Inc. tax.
Your thoughts ?
Thanks,
Tim
How much would a brand-new one cost?

2025 costs about the same as 2024, new one.
So a lease on a brand new 25 costs the same as this demo 24 and youre considering the 24?

Your thoughts ?
What do you see in Marketplace and Private Transfers

Odometer is 9,000 miles
You need to be heavily compensated for this many farts. Also at 15k per year won’t you be out of warranty. Hard pass.

I was able to get better mileage and 2024 year comes with unlimited 30 minute charges for 2 years from Electrify America. That alone is $300-350 in savings.

Forgot to mention; they are taking my 2019 x3, on which is the pay-off equals the resale value.
So it should have no impact on the deal. Get other quotes on it from the likes of driveway. Usually advisable to separate the two transactions.

Thought about it.
Carmax offered $16k, the dealer will payoff the $18k loan.

That’s a pittance compared to the 9,000 miles of wear on those tires.

10k discount in a loaner is not great

Can’t undo the past but damn make some better decisions going forward. How tf does someone owe 18k on a 6yr old X3
So the deal then includes loyalty as well, which makes it even less of a strong deal. You could get a new one for the same price. Additionally, the warranty issue as you’ll run this up to 55k miles as someone else mentioned makes this a hard pass.
So after the extra wear/maintenance costs on the 24 (tires thatll need replaced, etc), youd be paying more money for the 9k mile loaner thats a model year older?
Sounds like a no brainer to run the other way

Explain how you got to those numbers and whether you expect this to be total, annual or monthly savings.

it was about monthly savings in gas. 2024 I4 includes unlimited (but capped at 30 minutes per visit) Electrify America charges covered by BMW.

I see your point. It was not a good deal.
I am the second owner of the 2019 X3 and purchased it during the Covid period.
They aren’t paying for any wear and tear for you…
