2024 BMW 330i M Sport Demo

,

This was the offer I received on an 2024 M Sport 330i demo. From my research this is the only 2024 demo remotely close to my area. Offer has the MF bought up 4 points and mileage is high killing the residual. What would be a best case deal in this situation? Base MF + additional discount to pre-incentive sale price. Not too familiar with a target discount on a high mileage, previous year demo. Any advice helps!

Your residual is higher than cap cost, your residual is like in the high 20s.

That’s a good discount pre rebate. I personally wouldn’t be comfortable with 10k miles on a loaner, you will very likely need to replace the tires before your lease ends. I would negotiate for a maintenance plan and throw MSDs in to soften the MF.

Hacking is all about timing and selection. As of March one could have gotten a C43 AMG for less. Even now one can probably get a brand new C300 for less

This is where I’m getting hung up. Less so on the price but the mileage is very high for a demo for still being over 550/mo. I love the styling of the 330 with M Sport but without it I wouldn’t even consider one. Being the only one left I can find on 24’s is the only reason I’m considering.

I’ve never seen a C43 for less than 550/mo unless I just haven’t been paying attention to MB market close enough. If that was the case I’d close on one today. On this specific deal I don’t know how much better the timing could be on a 24. Do you have a pre-incentive % in mind would make this a no brainer?

Go back, pre tariffs and program changes to replicate.

% discount doesn’t really help when programs (RV, MF and rebate) aren’t good enough.

Brand new 3-series haven’t had good programs in forever. A demo with high miles and a huge RV deduction, is there any reason to expect it will be better.

Make no mistake this is a used car. And the worst type of used car: a rental. Which was fine when they used to be underpriced (lease payments used to be dirt cheap on demo F30s). Why would anyone pay this much for a former rental?

Square pegs don’t fit into round holes … every car cannot be made to fit into a lease hacking strategy even with a loaner/demo. you gotta decide whether you’re a value-oriented guy in which case be brand-neutral and pick the most hackable car. Or you’re a brand-oriented guy in which case you focus on one car and pick the best strategy for it (lease vs buy new vs buy cpo/used).

As of March the two best values in this segment were leasing the C-class and G70 or buying a one-owner used 330i if a 3-series was what you only wanted.
