2024 Acura RDX Deal Check

Hello Hackrs,

My lease is soon expiring and out of curiosity I decided to stop in at a dealer to inquire about a 2024 RDX base. I currently have a 2021 RDX base and I pay $419.92 a month at 12k miles a year. I’m way under my miles I’m at 21,101

The numbers that the dealer gave me on a 24’ base model RDX was initially $619 a month with $2500 DAS (they said it includes acquisition fee $595, documentation fee $899, dmv $400 & 6.625% taxes which I’ve verified on LH) 7500 miles a year and I would be rolling over 15,000 unused miles from my current lease. The msrp of the car is $45,700 and they wouldn’t tell me the selling price or money factor that they would be using. Eventhough it sounds like a good deal something seems fishy. What could the dealer be hiding to be able to give me such a low amount. Or how could this screw me later.

I told the sales man $619 is a no because I’m not going from $419 to $619. He then walked to the manager and came back with $420 $2500 das. I again asked him what incentives are they using, what’s the money factor etc. He then brought in the sales manager who was absolutely no help. I’m in no dire need to get rid of my car but I do love leasing and not having to get locked into a car.

I’m also at a 2nd dealer and they’re saying $499 $2500 das without getting to the specifics. I’m not taking a car today I just wanted to get numbers and if I got a good deal I would jump on it. I’ve also been doing my research on LH.

So you are paying 419, were offered 420 and didnt do the deal because??

I didn’t come to the dealer with the intention of getting a car and I felt like the 1st deaer was playing with the numbers or leaving something out.

You walked into a store, told them their price was too high then they met your price…

What more could you have asked for?

That’s not the point, I still would’ve have like to know what incentives, mf etc was being used. And initially they tried to get me to put $8000 down so I’m just curious as to how they jumped to $2500. That’s all!

When getting into a car I generally like to know what I’m getting into along with bargaining. I mean I feel like I have a right to do that.

You need to know how much equity you have.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they wanted to grab all your equity which is why they were so desperate to get you to sign on the spot

You were right to walk away.

Don’t walk in anywhere until all your ducks are in a row.

Thank you Max….the 1st dealer said that the RDX’s have a recall so he’s not sure if I have equity in my car. At that point I knew he was playing games!

THIS THIS 100x THIS

Please don’t waste anyones time

What do you mean don’t waste anyone’s time are you referring to me? I’m confused

Yeah you should have had your numbers done BEFORE going into the store.

Hell you could have your equity calculated too!

If you didnt know the car and wanted a test drive fine, but don’t waste peoples time

You could come off my thread with all of this negativity! I simply came here to get some feedback back you could keep your rudeness and disrespect because I’m not the one honey! Have a pleasant day !!

Thank you I appreciate your feedback :slightly_smiling_face:

And I never said I didn’t know what car I wanted l, I simply went in to inquire! There’s nothing wrong with inquiring nor am I obligated to say yes on the spot for a deal even if it sounds good! If the salesman feels like I wasted his time maybe he should get another job. It’s so crazy how people come to the LH community for advice and some of you are ridiculous rude! If you don’t agree with the way an individual handled a situation just scroll past their post!

Just ignore that guy
