Dealer has provided some rough numbers, and I just wanted to know what everyone thinks.
This is for a 2024 Acura RDX Base, 10k miles a year.
I am currently a full-time student and retired Military. They are offering me rebates for these two - but I may not qualify for them - still in the process of finding out.
Without rebates -
10k miles - 1st Month due at signing plus doc fee of $360
483 / 48 month - $843 due at signing
512 / 36 month - $872 due at signing
With potential rebates -
476 / 36 month - $836 due at signing
456 / 48 - $816 due at signing
These are the only numbers I have so far. Dealer was supposed to send me more details, but I haven’t gotten anything yet. They are adamant about getting me in their office to discuss numbers in detail.
Please let me know what you guys think!! Thank you
Hello. Not an experienced hacker at all, but some thoughts…
Is there a reason why you don’t know if you qualify for a rebate or not? I think rebates are usually fairly straightforward things to determine.
Have you checked the Marketplace or Signed Deals & Tips (or visited Acura-specific forums)? I do think the RDX gets mentioned here intermittently, although I don’t think the posts are about the base version.
Once you have more data (and you don’t need the dealership to give you that data), you can use the calculator to determine your target deal.
Based on the fact that since I am not technically active duty anymore, I may not receive it but since I am retired and receive payments, they may be able to get me the rebate.
I would say, plug it in the calculator to see what you get. You can get the info you need to complete calculator by joining here as a Super Supporter to access Ratefindr or asking on the appropriate Edmunds lease forum.
Is the “market value” just MSRP + DPH? I think there might be is a slight mark up there.
Did they confirm you qualify for the rebate?
Separate the dealer discount + rebates (the Edmunds forum indicates that there is $1500 dealer cash available) to see what the actual dealer discount is (I suspect that it’s not much since).
Also, there’s no cash down, but I don’t see the amount due at signing.
And then compare that to other RDX base deals here (if there’s that data available)
Then you’ll have a better idea of what kind of deal you’re getting.
