2023 VW Tiguan SE R-Line Black fwd, $35321 MSRP, 36/12, $459/mo inc taxes

We just leased a 23 VW Tiguan SE R-Line FWD for a shared commuter/dog & stuff hauler/bike hauler. Before we signed I tried searching and found nothing more recent than early 2022. So for good, or bad, I thought I’d post our deal to help anyone who may be in the market for a VW Tiguan. Honestly, compared to vehicles like the Ford Escape/Bronco Sport, Hyundai Tucson, etc I find the VW to look a lot more upscale and have a nicer interior design and (some) nicer materials.

$35321 MSRP, $32758 Selling Price, $20782 Residual, MF= .00175, 36/12, $1950 DAS inc tax/Acq fee/1st, $459/mo inc taxes

Is it? I thought it seemed pretty fair in this market. The dealer is Brunswick VW, they have a collection of brands. They delivered the car to me “free” (sure it was built in there somewhere) too.

Congratulations. I leased 2023 Tiguan SE (not R-Line) with options around Labor Day, with MSRP just under 35K ($34,950 or so, will have to check Moroney sticker) for $355/mo, 36 mo/10K with $655 DAS. I don’t know if R-line is in high demand now and is significantly better than regular SE, so I will reserve my judgment on $1500 downpayment and $100/mo more per month payments.
Does yours have liftgate? Mine had credit, because they had a chip shortage and didn’t install it, despite it being a part of the build sheet. Not a big deal, just a small inconvenience.

Well, ouch. But I tried negotiating with 3 dealers and this was the best I could get, so I think its fair in the current market. Is the R-Line better? Personal opinion since its an appearance package but I think it makes a big difference in the appearance, so worth it to us. There weren’t many R-Lines around, maybe 5 between 3 dealerships. Does your SE have the pano roof? And yes, ours does have the power liftgate. I have to say the ACC with steering was a surprise at this price point.

Yes, mine has panoramic roof. It’s black out and inside, with black wheels. I think your trim gets black grill, R line sign on the doors, bigger wheels and body color trim on the sides. ACC I have doesn’t steer, I mean the driv assist package I have doesn’t steer much, it just very slightly corrects if you cross the line, but ACC is good. I turned it on on stop-and-go traffic and took my foot off gas and break pedals for a while. As long as traffic doesn’t come to stand still for more than 3 seconds, it picks up and goes as soon as the car in front of you moves. Overall, very happy with the car. It’s AWD, so no third row, but huge trunk space and plenty of space inside. It’s actually a small SUV, but when you sit in it you have a space of much larger SUV at your disposal. Liftgate would be nice, but wasn’t a deal breaker for me
