Does anyone know what a typical discount would be for a 2023 Volvo XC60 Loaner / Demo, I see in the marketplace that brokers are obtaining 10-11% for new models, so using that as a baseline is it unreasonable to think a loaner on a 2023 model that is being phased out could be 15%+?
On paper it should depend on if it is a 3 month or 6 month loaner. 6 month seemingly gets double the loaner money that a 3 month does. Based on broker posts here, NYC metro has 3 month loaners and DC area has 6 month loaners. You’ll be better off coming down to MD/VA to get a loaner that had more support.
This being said, the 10-11% that brokers are advertising isn’t pure dealer discount from what I see. They’re baking in the lease cash into that percentage
Got it, so maybe the 10-11% isn’t the right place to start to back into the expected % discount. I actually went down to MD to get my 2019 loaner, don’t really want to repeat that again
If it’s a 3 month loaner, what does that translate into in terms of discount % (ignoring any sort of lease cash / incentives)?
3 month loaner seems to be 1500 and 6 month is 3000.
Driving down to Maryland to get an additional 1500 in loaner support and 500 in lease bonus seems worth it to me. Koons seems to have a decent selection of retired XC60 loaners on their website. I’d try them first
3 months with 6k+ miles also gets $3K. It’s months and/or mileage.
The dealers don’t seem to have a choice of what program they get though. It’s either the $1500 or $3000. NYC has the former and DC has the latter
2023? I don’t see any on their site, do you have a link? Are they also competitive in buying a 2019 XC60 off me?
It’s not what dealers choose. When a 3+ months loaner hits 6k, it qualifies for $3,000. Otherwise, it gets $1,500 until it hits 6 months, and then it gets $3,000 even with less than 6k miles. Doesn’t matter NYC or DC, as far as I know.
Click on where it says “Downed Loaners”
Maybe I’m dense but don’t see it. I am on the main koons.com website
Ah thanks, there it is. Doesn’t have the combo I am looking for unfortunately
You would be foolish to get one from the tri-state area. Mid atlantic is the place to be to get a volvo. Currently the only people buying from me are those who do not want to make the trip/pay for shipping/delivery of a mid atlantic volvo.
Also remember if you are leasing the demo/loaner the miles get costed to your residual!
Check out Westport volvo and see if they can do anything good. Checkout Hudson valley volvo too. No games played at either dealer.
If you can travel down south, that’s the best option
Does the XC60 even have great programs?
Seems like 24 B5 Plus does have good programs. 62% on 24/10, .00075 and $3,250 rebates/incentives
Can you elaborate on how the loaner program works? Do you as the dealer get to choose between a 3 or 6 month loaner? Ursus and I seem to have different understands of it
You really can’t be too picky with color combos on loaners…
I mean its just when they pull the vehicle from loaner service.
