2023 Mazda CX 9 Signature Deal Check

Good Afternoon,

I am in the market for three-row SUVs and just received this quote from True Car. I would like to check with you all if this is a good offer or if there is any more room for negotiation when talking to the dealer.

CX9 Signature Trim
MSRP - $50330
Customer Cash - $3000
Dealer Discount - $5000
Dealer Admin Fees - $500

Total - $42830 (Plus TTL)

Appreciate your input. Thanks.

@dotnet

Is this a cash deal or are you financing?

Is the customer cash from you or an incentive from Mazda/dealer?

Seems like a decent discount either way. My wife enjoys her CX-9!

Yes. Cash deal. Customer cash is an incentive from mazda if you pay with cash.

I generally lease but any time you can get a 16% discount seems pretty damn terrific to me!

Car is EOL though, decent deal, but keep in mind it’s just been replaced by the CX-90

Anyone can show big discounts/rebates off an inflated sticker price. But at the end of the day this is ballpark pricing for a Sorento EX hybrid, Telluride EXP, or Pilot 2023.

All 3 would arguably have a lower TCO from lower fuel costs (Sorento) and/or lower depreciation (Telluride and Pilot).

Or if you can get similar $$$$ off a CX9 Touring/Plus or Carbon that could be worth considering.
