Traded in 2020 mazda 3 preferred 5 months early.
$1500 down is first month and other fees.
Love the car and I’d share photos but wanted to see what other people thought about the deal.
Merry christmas fellas
Where is the trade-in on the contract? Looks like the dealer just pocketed any equity you had.
I asked when I was with finance because when I looked at the trade-in allowance and it was gone, I did not understand exactly. They explained that it is in the cap cost in 7A which shows ($32,961) and then 35685.61 <— which perhaps this is the number that is confusing and I need to figure out. Sticker price is around 38k-39k. Trade in had $15k left in payments ($1400 in lease payments and 13600 or so RV) So around $2k towards that. They offered $17k. I am not trying to be naive, but I did find it strange. So I would’ve had around $2k trade in + 1K in rebates.
I am racking my brain at the numbers still, but perhaps I missed something
Post the second page of the contract. That will show how the gross cap cost was calculated.
Will when I get the chance.
Thanks for checking it out!
I think if you had separated the two transactions, it would be easier to find out how good/bad the deal was.
Yeah. The top line discount off MSRP is good, but they made it back with the equity in your trade and the add-ons. And it throws off shady vibes that they didn’t put the trade on the contract.
It might not be too late to get the gap protection removed if you don’t want it. The way this lease was structured there’s probably not a huge risk of being significantly underwater, but obviously that’s your call.
In any case, it’s a great car, so enjoy it!
It is very nice. I feel much safer than in my mazda 3, especially when it’s windy + rainy in South Florida Totaled my 2018 mazda 3 driving in the rain
ANYWAYS,
I wanted to get a CX-50 with bose and leather seats under $400/month and wasn’t TOO far off.
I think I could’ve done better price-wise, but I appreciate you taking the time to check it out. This is the second time I went to lease my own car by myself and I was really hoping to get that perfect deal, but it is easier said than done. Maybe third times a charm!
Other than the sketchy trade-in part, I am very happy with the car. It’s sexy as hell
