Can we see some interior pics too  great car!

Was this a 7500 mile per year lease? About 17216 miles remaining for the next 2.5 years. Yikes.

About 7k in equity right now based on what they selling for right now. With the same mileage

That’s not 7k in equity, that’s 7k between your buyout and retail.

Then sell it and cash in the equity.

If you were to privately sell that would be 7k in equity

But yes I will prob end up doing this, was just trying to give someone a good deal on this car.

I don’t think anyone will be able to beat the payment on a 23

What’s your definition of equity?

The equity in your vehicle is the value of your car after you subtract anything that you owe on it . If you own your car outright, with no loans or liens, your equity — expressed as a percentage — is 100%. If you have a loan balance, you subtract it from the car’s current value to find your equity as a dollar amount.

My definition of equity is the difference between what you owe as you so eloquently put as

but

is a moot point - as BMW restricts 3rd party buyouts so you’d pay tax to be able to do so or jump through some hoops by paying tax and selling within 10 days to reclaim it in CA to sell to anyone else - thus even if you sold it to someone private party - it would be a massive hassle. If you go to a dealer they will give you far less than KBB private party or whatever retail value you are looking at.

Also, retail on a used X6 with nice spec like yours is at best 79k in Cali - IDK what your exact buyout is but GLWT!

I mean it’s a small hassle to save a few thousands dollars. I would imagine that’s someone’s monthly take home for doing a few simple tasks of just have a buyer that’s ready to pull a trigger.

Why let the dealerships make an extra 3-5k on a car.

If you told me it’s a few hours worth of work. Sign me up

My buyout is 68,700 lol

If you’re pitching this as an equity play, I would urge the transferee to run the VIN first.

No problem having them run the vin

An apology would be appreciated

If you have a buyout offer for 75k then I apologize ig?

You said my car is worth 79… my buyout is 68,700

I didn’t say it was worth 79, I said retail was at maximum 79. If someone is willing to give you 75k, then you have equity, whether that someone be a private buyer or dealer.

Retail =/= trade in =/= Private Party pricing.

correct,

I think you were imagining my buyout being much higher.

So the deal I’m offering someone is not a bad deal.

If they can beat my percent off on the car, rebates and MF I will pay them 4,000

I really wasn’t imagining it was that much higher, and I think the value of a deal is relative per car GLWS/T!

Getting out of a lease without paying a few months in is unheard of, let alone being about to make a few dollars.

But ya no worries GL
