2022 Toyota Highlander hybrid xle sale price 52150.10

Is this a good deal…36 month lease, 12k miles, 550/month…trading in 2019 VW atlas (lease was up) they offered to take the car off our hands(residual price was 24K on that one if we wanted to buy it out) . I know it’s hard to fully judge with this info but just want to be sure we aren’t getting screwed.

How much equity is in the atlas?

You need to figure out what they’re paying you for your trade. Also, MSRP for XLE hybrid fwd starts at 42k.

Guy told me he could possibly get about 3-4K equity out of the atlas. Hylander Hybrid is AWD

You should get offers so you know what the equity actually is.

I’m pretty sure they’re taking plenty of equity. Text me if you want a legit breakdown.

MSRP on an XLE Hybrid usually falls around $45k-$47k. Listen to the others and get offers, also contact Jim for a no BS breakdown.

2019 Atlas has at least 5-8k equity if payoff is 24k

How do you know that without knowing miles on the Atlas?

That’s how

Those are just the terms of the proposed Highlander lease.

For his sake, I hope he did not put 100k on the Atlas and now is looking for a 12k lease.

I don’t think Toyota stores can take VW Leases

Am I the only one who gets nervous when someone posts, and then there is a long length without hearing from them? It has been less than a day since the OP’s last post, but I am always afraid they will come back and say they have the new vehicle.

Someone I don’t know getting taken to the cleaners on a lease is on the bottom of the list of things that would make me nervous.

A figure of speech. It is more like a cliffhanger.

Agreed, let’s just say we want closure. But I’m afraid it’s probably not going to happen.

Maybe they’re happy with whatever deal they got and want to move on with their lives?

That could be (especially with the OP liking your comment). But as @Supakimchee said, I am always looking for the outcome/closure. It partly has to do with respect (I am not saying that is the case here – at all). Individuals ask a question (or questions) of the community, and others take their time to give the best advice. So for me (personally), it is polite to come back and provide an update. But that is just me.

That said, my comment looks as though some interpreted it wrongly/literally. Maybe, the OP has not completed the deal or had time to update.

The VW had 42K thousand miles. It was a 12k miles a year lease for 3 years. We had extended it 6 months cause wasn’t sure It was the SEL model. In decent condition. Not new but not too crappy. Put into to carvana and other robot e sites and they came up with somewhat similar numbers five or take. The hybrid highlander xle comes with some features that when you build and add tax, etc, put it at roughly 51 K. So my original post was just to see with all this being said is this a decent deal. Yeah VW doesn’t let Toyota take the lease normally but theirs guy knew a guy blah blah. So it save us from having to bring it back. Didn’t feel like buying out the lease and then selling it so it takes that out of it. Hate all the nonsense that comes with getting a car. So I just basically wanted to know if this deal is alright.
