Helping a friend get a car. He’s been asking the salesman for details on the car so long and just kept telling them system does it. As well as these are things you go over with sales manager. Eventually he sent them these details. From what I can understand. I see he is hiking up MF. And getting no discount on the car? Thoughts?

Start with checking the marketplace on here. Quite a few brokers represent Ram w/ discounts north of 10% off on certain trims.

I have, the cars on marketplace Vs this car are 10k difference between MSRP so I believe his trim is of higher level. I would’ve connected him with on them but he is sold on this particular car trim. But I did see most of them are in range of 10-12% off which is what I told him to aim for.
I’d still run it by one of the brokers first, just because it isn’t listed on the sheet doesn’t mean to not reach out. It doesn’t cost you anything and while I hate being the person on here whose first response is: reach out to this broker.
In this case it is warranted.

An over MSRP deal when you can order at 12% off makes no sense.

That’s what I thought.
I see several issues with this.
I am going to make some assumptions as I don’t have all the details on the truck, like build, trim, 4x4, etc.
1st: Based on the data, it appears he is getting about 3% off MSRP; 57% RV worked backwards yields $63,814 MSRP with a $61,838 sales price. (Most brokers can do 10%+ off)
2nd: it appears the MF is being maxed out currently. Most Rams are incentivized this month with programs in the .00015 range.
3rd: where are the rebates? Almost all Rams have some rebate this month. Even if it’s just conquest or loyalty.
To put this deal in context, I am about to sign on my truck tomorrow with @Clutch for $1,000 DAS; $490-500/month for a $66,000 MSRP Ram Laramie Crew Cab SW Edition 4x4.
Tell your friend to run and to run fast. Then reach out to a broker and wait a couple weeks.
