2022 Porsche Macan GTS MMR?

I am looking into purchasing a 2022 Porsche Macan GTS. Can someone tell me the MMR value for these vehicles on the East Coast? Dealers in the mid-Atlantic area appear to be asking way above what sources like Edmunds and Kelley BB show for these vehicles. I am trying to craft a reasonable offer.

I’m no longer in the business and don’t have access to MMR. I can say from experience that KBB, Edmunds, and the like are usually way off on valuations of limited production high performance trims like the GTS models.

The only real “market value” is whatever you can find comps for in your local region. For example, in my region, there are around 150 Macan’s for sale in the area, only 9 of those are GTS models across all model years. The 2022 GTS models seem to run from the high 70s into the low 80s. If you could pick one up with average miles and lightly optioned for mid to high 70k range, you’re probably getting a decent deal.

Keep in mind that with Porsche, options can wildly add to the cost of the vehicle, make sure you’re comparing apples to apples and looking at original window stickers for any Macan’s you are comparing. For example, a new Macan GTS stickers for around 90k if you add 0 options (very unlikely, and would be a very undesirable vehicle), just ticking the box on the most common features raises that to $130k without trying very hard.

Thank you for your response. I am seeing similar prices in my area, which seems high to me. These vehicles were likely 3 year leases with ~60% residuals. A $100K Macan GTS would be leased with a residual value of ~$60K. My guess is they were turned in because Dealers would not buy them for more than that and simply pick them up directly from Porsche Finance at end of lease or via auction. I am trying to pick one up in the $65K range, but dealers are asking high $70s for CPO versions. I don’t need the CPO warranty for a low mileage vehicle.

MMR is ~$75k for 27.5k Miles

Not sure thats entirely realistic if they can wholesale one for $10k more.

In my experience that’s a painstaking, time-consuming strategy with low chance of success.

OTOH you can look for someone who is selling below market. Get a PPI to make sure it’s not damaged goods.

For example a 2021 GTS is a ~$55k car, a bit more when well equipped. This just dropped in price to well below that.

That is what I needed to know. I have a line on one in the low $70s that is starting to look like a good deal.

Yes, I know, but I don’t need to buy this vehicle now. I want to make an offer that, if accepted, would make me do it now versus later. The 2022 Macan GTS is the equivalent of the old Macan Turbo with the 434HP engine.

Have you considered a 21 Turbo? They’re about 10:1 rarer than GTSs so value retention should be better.

What’s wrong with this one? Seems reasonable option load and miles… you can probably haggle them down a bit and get close to what you’re looking for?

That’s what 22 S listed for. And you still need a CPO for a 3 yo if you plan on keeping it for more than a year. Or buy Porsche extended.

Yes, I saw that one. Biggest issue is I don;t want another black car. I already have a black 2018 Cayman GTS. That is the type of deal I am looking for but without the CPO to get it under $70K.

I have mixed feelings on the Porsche CPO program. I had it on my current 2018 Macan GTS. I needed it one time and Porsche would not cover a broken exhaust under the CPO warranty. Fortunately my local Porsche dealer split the cost with me as a goodwill gesture.

@djrabbi knows lots of peeps in the Mid-Atlantic who can wrap your ride.

I know this is splitting hairs, but most automakers warranty will only cover exhaust components between the manifold to the catalyst (and their related sensors in that zone). The exhaust pipe through the muffler/tips normally will not be covered. This part of the exhaust is often referred to as the cold end assembly since the catalyst is hot, and after the catalyst is colder.

Cars with some valve that can open/close on throttle… that part is in the cold end assembly, but is an exception to the rule and often covered where applicable.

@z0lt3c would recommend you get a Macan EV so you don’t have to deal with this exhaust junk.

Thanks for all the replies. I ended up buying a 2022 Macan GTS with 23K miles for $70K. Original MSRP was almost $100K. Sport Chrono, PTV+, premium Package+, ACC and a bunch of other options. I was able to get the CPO reactivated since it was sold previously as a CPO vehicle. This is the best price I could find within 100 miles of me.

How much was it to reactivate the CPO?

well, It didn’t cost me anything. The salesperson that sold me my 2018 Macan helped me out big time. I bought the 2022 Macan from an Audi dealer that had a sister Porsche dealer. The car was actually advertised on both their websites, but was physically located at the Audi dealership. The Audi salesperson talked with his buddy at the Porsche dealership who also happened to be my previous salesperson. I took the car over to him after buying it and he setup all the Porsche Connect stuff and reactivated the CPO. I guess since the car had been sold as CPO to the previous owner, it was easy to transfer.

And it’s not black or orange haha.

Ooh, I see it. Thanks!

Porsche also has their own website that only posts dealer pre-owned cars
