Nicely done!
Funny, some dealers are advertising these 12mo/15k leases, here is a funny one, only $499/mo, with a $6,500 CCR, making it $1,040 a month
Those ads were incorrect for the whole month of Jan, I guess they caught on.
The fine print red “7500 miles”
This is making me want to relive having a Macan, and given my propensity to not keep cars for more than a year, this is perfect for me. I want a Gentian Blue one, however, which might be a good choice to hack, since the soccer moms around here seem to live 50 shades of white, grey, and black.
I’ll post photos when I scrub all the inspection stickers and dealer info off.
What color did you wind up with?
Dolomite Silver with 4k wheels LOL.
Got the turbo wheels then?
No Macan S wheels.
That was my second guess. They do look nice.
Nicely done, amazing deal!
Do you know if Porsche allows a lease extensions on 12 month one pay leases and how the pmt amount works?
Also, does the loaner still come with the first maintenance free?
The RVs have been the same for months now, there just have not been discounts. I guess some dealers must have trouble moving cars (I blame all the post-COVID new weak salespeople) since we are not having problems at 5-7% off with CPO. I will expect PFS to start lowering RVs in future months if some dealers will discount like this, so get it while you can (also MY22 support might be gone next month).
When I was at the dealer, I had a conversation with the GSM and he alluded to this in so many words. Porsche sales people getting comfortable with their high gross orders and not helping as much to sell the vehicles they have on the lot with lower profit margins.
It was very hard to get anyone on the phone at porsche dealers in general, let alone get them to deal.
Porsche don’t have the AOR restrictions that JLR dealers do, right?
area restrictions yes they must have a % of sales in their local area. I think demo’s don’t count but others can confirm.
Am I really the first person to notice the holy grail MSRP? Congrats on the deal!
EDIT: @HersheySweet beat me, to no surprise
AHAHAHAHAH… you are… but that is hilarious.
It is a self-inflicted wound IMO. The problem is that the pay plans are lower percentages compared to mass-market dealers. A Honda/BMW/GM dealer might pay 25-30%, but a Porsche dealer will only pay 10-15%. So efforts are better spent on high-dollar deals since that is what will actually pay. One new 911 4S is worth 8 Macans loaners. I sell what I can, it doesn’t matter but generally, if you want your salespeople to move the low gross cars, there have to be spiffs or incentives.
Porsche dealers can sell wherever they want, but a certain percentage has to be in their market for Premier dealer points and future allocations. Loaners don’t count IIRC but generally, they want them sold locally.
ballpark, how many cars were even on the lot
Phones lines down at most east coast Porsche dealers! Or do they just generally leave them off the hook?
