One of the reasons I love the AMG GT is that it looks better than a 911. This does too.
SL has always been one of my favorite MBs…sad to see the 65 AMG variant be discontinued.
Happy to see the AMG V8 back though, I was scared they might be switching to I4 for this one.
I am not a Porsche fanboy, but I think the AMG GT’s not well proportioned. I get them wanting a cab rear look and rear wt bias, but that hood is just too long. The current Porsche 911 looks huge to me, but I’ve found all other 911s to be quite attractive.
I have no doubt that this will be an excellent car (and it’s certainly way better looking than the last SL), but I do not like MB’s current design language. Far too many cues flowing up from the A-Class, rather than down from the S-Class.
