2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 Lease Deal Check

Wondering if anyone has any input on the deal below. This is in Massachusetts. They offered $4k in equity to trade in my previous lease (a 2019 Grand Cherokee Laredo) and I’m 5k over mileage. Let me know what you think.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (new body style)
Vehicle Price: $50,275 (includes dual-pane sunroof)
DMV Fees: $132.50
Doc Fee: $395
Tax: $2,916
Amount Due: $53, 719
Trade-In Down: $4,000
Balance Due: 49,719

Zero down at signing (aside from first month’s payment)
39 month lease
$595/month
15K miles
Residual $31,170

If they’re selling the new truck to you at sticker then this deal is about $4k worse than what you could get if you order one. There are a number of brokers on here around 5-10% off on an order.

I’d take a step back. Order a new one through a broker, and in the mean time shop your current GC around and sell it to the highest bidder. Pocket the equity.

When the new truck comes in it will be roughly the same payment as what this dealer is quoting you but that $4k (or more) of equity will be in your pocket, not the dealer’s.

…….it’s not a truck…….

I’m in a similar situation but there is value in getting the car now, as opposed to in 15 weeks. $4k? Up to the buyer.

For me, the order banks are closed on the options I want to order on a 22 GCL, so I either wait and wait to even put an order in, or find a dealer who will go below MSRP on an in-stock.

That’s the problem. Where is the dealer going below MSRP on an in stock? I haven’t seen them

Thanks for your replies. It sounds like I’m probably not going to find any better deal, aside from what a broker could possibly offer. I really don’t know anything about that route and just want to keep things simple, so I’m likely going to take this offer from the dealership. I’ve used them in the past and feel they are pretty fair. The $4k in equity they offered on my current Jeep is well over what Carvana and others were offering. And they put in writing that the $4k equity is locked in.

Just to clarify, this is on an order (not an in stock). They said 8-12 weeks, but we’ll see…

the 22 GCL is no longer available to order i believe. they said short year

Picked up a 22 GCL LIMITED for 5% under MSRP yesterday, in stock, purchase not lease. And then 1k in incentives after the discount. Didn’t get the exact color we wanted, but had every option we wanted - was a sacrifice I was willing to make to get the car now.
