I love the inkjet printer on the dash.

They better hope it’s amazing because Infiniti is a dumpster fire. I’d rather drive a Pontiac Aztec than any brand new Infiniti.

Why is everyone doing shitty electronic shifters? Most of them garbage outside of BMW and MB. Hell, most of the designs I see use as much space as a traditional shifter, but are more confusing to use. Audi has a decent shift as well, but the location of it sucks as it blocks the touch pad IMO.

I think the interior looks great, but I actually think most Infinitis have pretty nicely finished interiors and striking exteriors. So not sure if upgraded design will be enough to save them. But glad they got rid of the dual screen set up.

The concept and spy pics look almost Range Rover-esque. Much more conventionally good-looking than their current models.

Edit:

Was dong some random reading about the Nissan Rogue, and an electronic shifter apparently allows for storage space btw the front footwells and center console?

I think the main thing they need to do is kill their CVTs. Keep it for the low end Nissans like Versa, sentra, rouge etc. Like Honda does.

Agreed, Nissan needs a deal with ZF becuase their Uto transmissions have always been garbage.

It’s the opposite. The 2018+ version of the QX60 CVT is a good match for the V6 and makes a more responsive drivetrain (in the context of these hippos) than something comparable with an NA V6 and torque converter like a 2018 Highlander.

The drivetrain was always the least of the QX60’s problems when compared to something similarly priced like a well-equipped Highlander

Knowing infiniti, this interior will look great, but that display is actually a 320x240 pixel cathode ray tube.

They need two things: high resolution displays inside and high resolution cameras outside.

Of course, one need only look at the qx50 to see how seriously they take that

It really does look nice. Surprised how long nissan takes to push out a QX60 refresh just to get on par with everyone else

Can u imagine if yet again, they forget to integrate Android play

They need to hit a home run otherwise the brand will crumble in 5 years. Infiniti used to be my favorite brand from early 2000s, they made BMW step up their game, which kinda backfired because BMW came back hard and destroyed them.

Our 2nd QX60 is up in summer 2021, and my wife already said she wants something different. Hopefully this new model will lease well enough to convince her. No CarPlay or Android Auto would be the final straw.

The only had a decade to work on it, something will be missing
