2022 Infiniti QX50 Luxe
MSRP: 44k

First month due at signing only.

I should add that I am currently leasing an Infiniti already.

Yes. There’s a loyalty they’re giving and some equity from my current lease. Not sure how much though

I currently have a 2019 Infiniti Q50 Luxe

You need to determine this

I believe 8k in equity if i remember correctly

Geez. That is one piece of info that should be included in the original post.

Sorry first time posting here. Didn’t realize it was crucial info. From my texts conversations I can confirm it is 8k equity which is combination of lease loyalty and my current lease trade in

Don’t get a ‘price’ from a dealer…know what a 22 QX50 with your requirements should cost you, know what your existing car is worth, and know what incentives and rebates you qualify for. Then begin searching for the specific model to see if it’s in stock anywhere for you to make an offer, or whether you need to order/what allocations a dealer has, and what it costs to deliver it to you. Then you will know if it’s a good deal or not.

How can I do this? How can I know what it should cost me? Sorry if I sound dumb. Just new to this. It’s a lease so not sure what you mean.

Luckily, we have a whole series of blog posts called Leasing 101, which will brush you up on the elements to making a good deal happen:

Learn and leverage the calculator to see how the numbers affect payments.

Try filling out all the fields in the Calculator to start. Look up terms and numbers that you don’t know.

Consider taking the equity check and walking away.

A well-bought car will cost you way less in depreciation and interest than the total cost of this lease.

It’s crucial b/c your deal is actually for $456/mo (does that include taxes) + $8K due at signing.

Edmunds doesn’t have the MF for this month, but the effective interest rate was nearly 7% last month. RV isn’t high enough to compensate, IMHO.

Equity shmequity

It’s also important to know how much is loyalty rebate and how much is equity. The loyalty rebate is likely $1k or $2k, but you can easily look that up.

Unless a thousand bucks here or there is pocket change for you. Then no need.

you realize that the dealers who offer “equity” offer a highly inflated number often because they have lots of room to play with on the new car? like in that 8k they’re “giving” him, 3k is lease loyalty and the rest is"equity" b/c the new car is being sold at msrp.

Yeah, do most Infinitis actually have a lot of equity? I was under the impression that Infinitis were not benefitting from the current market conditions, in that regard.

MSRP: $44930
SALE PRICE: $43,500
RESIDUAL: 60%
Acquisition: $795
Lease Loyalty: $3000
MF: 0.0018
MF with MSD: 0.00091
36/10

$4000 DAS (equity)
$429 per month with MSD tax included at 9.5%
$490 without MSD tax included at 9.5%

Here’s all info updated now

Except the actual equity of the car you’re selling to the dealership…?

Since MSRP is 44930 and sale price is 39500 it looks like I’m getting 5430 equity on my current 2019 q50
