Hi guys, looking for some advice.
I have a 2022 MDX coming due and have some nice positive equity and I would love to keep some of it if possible. Payoff is about $31,300 and all offers from the usual online services are coming in at $34,500-$35,000. Lease is via Acura Financial. Car is A+ with only 25k miles.
I am currently trying to get into an Infiniti QX60.
Is there such a thing as shopping my car around to local Acura dealers to see who would pay the most if I return the car to them eventhough I am not planning to get another Acura? I understand there is no real incentive to them to pay anything but I assume whichever dealer gets this car will be very happy as it is in excellent condition, etc.
Any Honda or Acura dealer can buy the car off and cut you a check. Same goes for AutoNation as they have Honda/acura dealers, as well as any dealer who what’s a Honda/acura under their umbrella.
Out of curiosity, did you like the car? What is making you go to the Infiniti Versus another MDX? I’m currently in a Cayenne, but with two kids looking for a three row SUV and have been eyeing the new MDX.
Car was fine. Assume it would feel like a huge downgrade after a Cayenne.
My wife just wanted a change and Acuras are rather expensive to lease. QX60 has an OK price point now specially with the MSD so opting for the cheaper route. MDX is a V6. QX60 2025 is a V4 so it should be interesting.
Thanks, good info. I was looking at the Aspec Adv, or type S. Yeah that’s the “dilemma” im in. Don’t want to overpay but want a nice three row that is sporty and has good space. I also like the optionality of making captains chairs in the MDX vs like the Q7 where you can’t.
