2021 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring AWD (36/15K) ($497, $1497 DAS) (48103)

Just picked up a Machine Gray CX-9 Grand Touring. I live in Zip Code 48103 but picked up the car in Maryland since I have family out there, couldn’t find this same deal in Michigan, and didn’t mind the drive/miles.

The car does have about 2,000 miles on it because it was being driven by the dealership’s GM, but that didn’t matter to me as much because I will go past the 36k mile full warranty anyway, and they also gave me about $400 over blue-book value on my previous car that I sold to them.

This was my first hack and I can’t thank this forum and the leasehackr site enough for all of the help with research. I’m sure I could have likely done a little better, but considering this was the color I wanted, the over-allowance on my car, and the 9.1% discount off MSRP I got was well below invoice, I feel like I did ok for my first hack.

Let me know what you think.

Congrats on the new Mazda @Gnews77 but wish you would have run it by forum first, may have saved you a few bucks…which MD dealer? I would have pushed for bigger discount as car had 2,000 miles on it…

Also got mine in MD but only 12k miles…

Solid deal for a Michigan resident, foreign brands are horrible for the most part there (exceptions exist though).

Koons of Silver Spring. And definitely should have utilized the ask the hackers section of the forum.

Did do a lot of research and was in contact with multiple dealers across the midwest/east coast and it seemed like $510-515/Mo was the floor at 15k miles a year. Was able to get them down to 497$ because of miles on this car. Felt that between the over-allowance on my car and the 9.1% off msrp it was decent enough deal to take.

Like you said will run deal by the site next time though, as I’m sure I could have probably saved a few more bucks.

Thank you. Like you said I had a hard time getting any Michigan dealer’s down below $520, even on inventory that was ancient. Just no volume Mazda dealers.

In looking at it again, its actually a solid discount for a GT, you will enjoy the ride! I would have given you my contacts at the MD dealer I got mine at but there is no guarantees with all the shortages going on…

Congrats again!!!

Thank you! I’m loving it so far.

Tell me about it lol.

Looks like things are different than end of Jan. I did 30/12k on a 2021 grand touring CX-9 for 419/month with $900 DAS. Michigan dealer.

Yes, just did 36/12 AWD GT for $449month with $449DAS.

Must be. I’m sure I probably could have gotten a little more if I had utilized a few more users on this site or maybe a broker, but outside of that I used every tool at my disposal (truecar, cargurus, edmonds for mf & rv, this forum, etc.) and it was still pulling teeth to get any dealer close to 510 a month. Now that was for 15k miles, but even at 12k my deal would have been $470 with more DAS that you.

And Using all of those resources I couldn’t find any recent transactions in Michigan for better than 8% off MSRP. Guess I just missed the boat by a few months and/or had more meat left on the bone than I thought.

just a tad of an understatement
