Think you have some terminology mixed up, but overall, even after backing out rebates, this doesn’t look that bad.

:chocolate_bar:

You need to separate out the dealer discount from any manufacturer incentives.

updated. let me know if that looks better.

You don’t need two threads asking the same thing

i am asking the expert here. the other one is to share the deal with common folks/newbie.

The share the deals section is for sharing completed deals, not for asking for feedback on an in work deal. We don’t have separate sections for asking different groups for feedback.

You have $5k ($2500+1500+1000) in incentives. Are you seriously putting $4600 as a down payment?
What is the dealer discount before any incentives and cap cost reduction? Something does not look right.

EDIT: Your dealer discount off MSRP is about 8.7%.

You show a Cap Cost Reduction? Did you mean to say Dealer Discount? Or did you pay them 4600?

dealer discount = 4600.

So you are actually getting 8% off MSRP. Have you looked at some of the broker deals in the “Marketplace”? If not, you should so that you can get a baseline of what a good discount looks like.

You did not answer the cap cost reduction question. Are you putting any money down?

No money Down. All fees and first month rolled into monthly payments

You can push lower, as the RX-L has some more room. I’d say you ask for $1150 more off the top, followed by all the factory to customer incentives you qualify for.

I would tell the dealer you will SIGN at 10% MSRP + all applicable incentives + base MF. Only tell them that if you are ready to sign and submit a credit application.

Thanks for the advice. I will do that on Sunday when I go into the dealership.

I will give it a shot and will report back. nothing to lose.

You shouldn’t step foot in the dealership door until they’ve already agreed to your terms.

Why not just ask the dealer? If their explanation does not make sense, move on to another dealer.

In this quote, it shows nearly $4k as a down payment, so if you do not plan to put any money down then you should inform the dealer to structure the deal with $0 cap cost reduction.

No clue what the “additional reduction” is.
